Maayka -- Promoting SATI (Social Evils)

There is a Promo being shown since past few days in Mayaaka Serial, in which the lead Soni is climbing on the Cheetah of husband ( funeral wood) .

This is very disgusting to watch . Is Zee TV promoting such Evil things like SATI ?

Can u stop showing such cheap things in the television. Because there might be illetrate people who will be inspired by such cheap acts of SATI and start following.

This seems that you people are encouraging indirectly the act of SATI .

You don't mind they showed cheap things like Cherry hiring goons to kill her sister in law? Or Veer being murdered? You don't think it will promote people to start hiring goons to "bump off" anyone who annoys them? Getting fake pregnancy reports (in Suhani's case) and fake DNA reports (Cherry's work) isn't a social evil either? So you think all these things can be "promoted" alright?

If you're going to complain, go the whole way. It's silly to pick one itty bity detail. And plus, I don't smoke because I see it in a movie, statistics show the rest of the public are not stupid enough to either.

I suppose, first you should know the diference between 'Crime' and 'Evil Social Customs' like SATI, which was practised long back in INDIA and was abolished by the government its self.

So how can u compare murder, cheating, villian act's with this SATI ?

I don't get smoked by this kind of acts shown, but I am talking about majority illetrate people masses of India, who considers Arun Gowil ( Ram of Ramayana) and Nitish bhardwaraj ( Krishna of Mahabahrata) as actual gods and fall on their feets.

Showing SATI, u r not only encouraging a individual but also encouraging a Mass of society.

I know Sati is an "evil social custom" and I know the history related to it that goes way back, but maybe I didn't word my post right - I just don't think showing something on TV, however bad it may be, is necessarily promoting it. I was simply enforcing that opinion of mine using other things also shown on TV which are as harmful to society.

Views differ 😊...and if I was rude in my earlier post, don't hold it against me, I'm not usually so abrupt...it's just I'm not very happy with Maayka ever since they killed off Veer. 😡

yes the Sati is a very bad custome and you are right people can think that when they show it on TV it is right because our masses in the villages are really influenced by TV You are saying bad thing does not influence you because you are educated person but what about the uneduated masses .Please forgive me if i have offended anyone

If they are showing this promo, its disgusting that serials are promoting stuff like this. Showing a serial's leading actress going Sati must be an all-time-low idea.
