I saw a few episodes and …it’s….borrrring

Might be better than the original citadel but that’s not much solace given how bad the original one was ….not a patch on family man by faaaaar ….

Why is the entire show so poorly lit? I can barely see the actors faces or their expressions …most shots are in dark alleyways, dark rooms, dimly lit bars and hotels, dusk or twilight time shots …it gets exhausting after a point …

there is no highs or twists in the screenplay …no big drama and no big suspense moments …action is good but in such a vapid script, the set pieces appear just meh …action only works when there is a proper build up and lead up to the sequence

Also; raj and dks usp is their humor and the fun…this has none of it 😔

Varun is ok…mostly sleepwalks through his role but he’s somewhat decent

Dear lord Samantha is absolutely awful here …she is literally expressionless with a very flat dialogue delivery …can excuse her bad Hindi coz perhaps the character is not a native Hindi speaker …but that pouty botoxed plasticky face with micro bladed eyebrows looks so out of place…her action is well done and commendable she did it while unwell but her acting is just not upto the mark here

Does Samantha always speak like that, yaa dubbing mein issue hai, it's like she is sleepy, could actually lull someone to sleep.

There are small hints of Raj and DK in first three episodes and then it's all rushed.

Varun seemed ok, and how could they say Bhuvan Arora overacted? Baat karni hai, zara side mein aao.

But Kay Kay Menon was on fire, whoever the actress Simran was, was a dud.

Sped through the action (m nt fan of action) but I read a comment on TRPs review that none of the character's had an arc, and I agree. It would have made so much sense if we instead followed the eight years when Varun found the truth about Citadel and it's informant (sorry for the spoiler) and how Samantha had to be on the run for 8 years with a kid (like how she trained her kid with PLAY rules etc) coz the second she said the rules and after the kid slept after repeating them, even I forgot.

Still, it's apparently the best Citadel show, and Ig that's coz of Raj and DK.
