I just recollect Barun who was able to get out of this medium. and is doing great work at his pace in the ott medium; I was watching a recent interview of Barun where he correctly pointed out that commerce trumps creativity in this medium.

You can see the fatigue in Jhanak as well.. it’s not about the actors… the lines aren’t having the same effect that they had in the earlier episodes.. cos time does that to the relationship.

I don’t know about you guys… but I wasn’t that moved in the last few episodes when Ani and Jhanak/Nuton met cos fatigue is setting in… yes their chemistry is good so they will still up the ante but there diminishing utility of this quality as time goes… I remember the Arnav Khushi pairing was so laboured in the last few episodes of IPKkND that when they ended I for one was so happy 😂😂😂 Bach gaye!!

Actually Jol Nupur has two pairs of leads...Apudi equivalent was a lead also...and the side character stories were built with care and time... moreover, in Bengali tv shows the pace of storytelling is abit slow...you can get an idea Bout the pace by watching Jhanak also...things just do not seem to move ..

..in Jol Nupur also the first ML left the show in between due to such weak and illogical portrayal of men..

Same..neither Runak ILUs or other emotional confessions hit hard enough to beat the impact of even simple eye locks of Runak in the first 234 episodes of the show..

Actors are more disappointed than us I guess...Krushal expressed it unfiltered...Hiba also seemed not so happy with the ML track in one of her ivs...they spend 12-14 hours a day being those characters...it's more difficult for them to accept sudden out of character changes...

...Contract is usually of 1 year and then renewed yearly basis...Krushal is rising high on popularity ...even if he quits after his contract period he can get work..OTTs are obviously great ways to portray creativity with more freedom...but I guess he needs to do some more work in daily soaps before being considered as a good contender for significant OTT roles..

The stupid thing is the way the third angle is propped here. It has a position but it has no leg to stand on that position yet the two idiots keep giving that place to Arshi - aao hum par baitho aur raj karo 🤦🏻‍♀️

Why would the actors quit ?

Its not easy for a show to click in ITV.. Here more than story its the pair that clicks .

Like there are actor who do perform well with added advantage of good looks , but not all clicked..

Hiba is in the industry for a decade, but this show gave her the hit of her career.

And for Krushal, Anirudh marked him as one of the best actors of the ITV. He might be famous in Bengal, but this gave him the break and also to perform. Anirudh being the complex, layered one he could display wide range of expressions .

I so hope he gets a good web series 😀

Fame and money an added advantage.

After all they are professional actors , its the writers responsibility to keep her character's respect intact. But here the leads have the worst dialogues ....

I didn’t say the actors should quit.. I was mentioning the barriers in this medium. First of all there are contracts… it’s not easy to quit either and why should they if they are getting a buzz for their work.

I just hope Krushal gets a break in the OTT medium cos let’s accept the tv medium is not fair to male leads at all… tv is for the female actors primarily imv..

Every once in a while a decent male character is written and an actor comes along to do justice but the medium has no intention to do justice to the character…

That's true. Itv is worst for male actors. They are seen as an eye candy and are used to hype up the romance for 100 or 150 episodes and when the audiences are hooked they start playing with their character as if he's only there to romance the heroines .....that's one of the main reason I always prefer ekta . Her Shows always revolve around the ML

Like any other job, actors also look for job satisfaction...and there are many cases where actors quit due to creative differences...

...and Krushal was not at all a famous actor in Bengal...he was mediocre in terms of popularity as a hero in Bengali shows...His major breakthrough is obviously Jhanak...and he owned Anirudh Bose...but the amount of positive recognition due to complexity of the character and Krushal's able portrayal has been already generated...now if makers keep on deteriorating his arc, then it will not add to his popularity...

...at the end of the day, it is upto the individuals working in the sector...if they feel they are not satisfied and have better opportunity at hand, they may switch...or else they may decide to stay....holds true across all sectors..
