The real problem is"' opting for directors who just recyle, regroup their own past movies and put it in a bollywood package''. The whole South directors are talented term is such a hogwash.There are hardly any creative geniuses in the South especially the big canvas directors...

But i wouldn't blame the Stars for doing it, because it seems society wants to go back to the typical mass era as an escapism..The actors have no choice.

Since this thread seems more about Aamir than Salman, I thought I would share something I read from a blind.

The claim was that Aamir is hated by the entire industry because he's always been extremely arrogant especially in the 90s. Because his films were successes, everyone had to tolerate him but with the debacle that was LSC, he's had to humble himself because people have no reason to put up with his arrogance anymore. This explains a great deal about how sober he's become since that failure. Between admitting that he will do a film with SRK and Salman now, something he would never have agreed to before, and also admitting that he felt he should retire.

LSC was an experiment, like Srk and his failures Zero and Fan. Aamir will be back with a bang in his next. Don’t get it twisted.

How was LSC an experiment? The original Forrest Gump was a box office hit. Second highest grossing movie of the year, only after The Lion King, and a critical darling with audiences and critics. Remaking this movie was as safe as bet as could be, hence why Aamir went this route after disastrous Thugs of Hindustan. He wanted something safe and easy to reassert his box office power and stardom, but completely failed in that.

Yeah more like Atlee dumped SRK for Salman!
