I don’t think I can respond to this query of sensibilities.. . about what is justified… for you their dalliance is wrong becos their marriage broke…but she isn’t making a serial based on one kind of sensibility 😂😂 so she is managing based on a periphery like Jo tumko ho pasand wahi baat kahenge 😂😂😂 where the tumko is a wider audience…

If as a writer, I am asked to justify the serial… I would say…

Is a relationship sacrosanct because one is married?
Is a relationship sacrosanct becos two people treat it as significant/important to mean something

Within this serial they got Ani to meet Jhanak under difficult circumstances while almost betrothed to Arshi… Ani-Jhanak were forcibly married but they kept denying the marriage which was completed ritually and therefore a valid marriage under law. Hypothetically, they could have applied for an annulment & Ani could have continued supporting Jhanak in her endeavours, considering Jhanak as his responsibility and their meetings could have continued; if Ani continued meeting Jhanak, Pyaar toh tab bhi ho sakta tha…

& those meetings would have still caused a furore… becos why would a fiancé generally accept her hubby to-be to be so involved in a young girl’s life? Kalesh toh tab bhi hota. Ani and Arshi would have fought/reconciled/married etc

in a way…serial main almost aisa hi hua… situation aaj wahi hain… if you watch closely.

It’s just that Leena looked at a way in which more sensibilities are assuaged or managed so she made the two fall in love under the wedded umbrella and saara kalesh manage kiya… phir dono ki annulment karvayi…Kalesh ki wajah Arshi ko in the equation main aise rakha ki kuch viewers Confujiya gaye ki Arshi kya hain?

Kalesh ki badi wajah rakha aur story ko chala rahi hain kyunki Ani babu Arshi ko pehle bata nahin paaye ki use Jhanak se pyaar hain and Arshi apna pound of flesh ke liye wait kar rahi hain…

Lekin is sab main Lovebirds are enjoying cos Leena says pyaar kiya toh darna kya?

Another thing I was just thinking about was the role reversal....In the first 200 epis, it was mainly Ani always saving Jhanak's life and she always used to be grateful to him for that reason even as she otherwise kept clashing with him for refusing to let her leave Kolkata .....first 200 epis were about highlighting Jhanak's dependency on Ani in many ways....that is what the evil gang loved to taunt her about constantly too.

But now finally after 300 episodes, with this heart attack twist especially, the roles have reversed and they are fully highlighting Ani's dependency on Jhanak....they are showing him openly admitting that how deeply he needs Jhanak, is totally mentally/emotionally dependent on her and this has in a sense activated Jhanak's Mama Bear mode fully too....it is ofcourse all tied in with his love also which he is openly expressing to her but the decisive difference is how he is letting his family know that he needs Jhanak to exist.....in the past, his excuse to cover up used to be that Jhanak needs him to watch out for her cuz no one else will....but now he's telling them all ki I need Jhanak to watch out for me, bas

And the other thing that is standard in this story is how openly hateful the negative characters are....lol literally zero sense of nuance ....they expect all their schemes to succeed simply on the basis of badmouthing Jhanak. They just keep alternating between bashing Runak when they support each other and acting all outraged that how dare they do that....or they switch to badmouthing Jhanak and taunting Ani for supporting her .....isse zyada variation ka scope lagta nahin evil gang ke paas.

I liked their moves and poses in SPA emerald green dance sequence , completely different moves, alag se aur pyara bhi ,they outshined in all fronts, emerald green also suited them beautifully..
