I think there is a huge difference that you’re not factoring in..Ruhi has been consistently plotting and planning, keeping her interests and wants above all …when she returned to Poddar House, people accepted her at face value and embraced her ..even her husband after an initial phase …so there is absolutely no excuse for Ruhi’s behaviour nor is there an excuse for her flipping other than shitty writing ..
Armaan, on the other hand, had been disowned by the woman whom he practically owed his identity and life to .:.he expected her to be angry and was hoping to be able to deal with it ..he did not expect her to disown him and strip him of all that had gone into making him the person he is today ..yes, his trauma caused him to be self-absorbed and impervious to Abhira’s pain ..it took her breakdown for him to see that she was hiding far greater pain than him ..she was bearing a cross that he should’ve been sharing with her as her husband ..realisation is not always a slow process ..lightning strikes sometimes and you are able to see what you have been blind to for sometime ..this is exactly what happened with Armaan ..he has begged her pardon and fallen at her feet thereafter …not sure how he can be compared to Ruhi, who never ever came clean to the man she wronged the most !
