I don't think marriage would have made much of a difference. Anuj is still madly in love with Anupama without a care in the world.

He does only what Anupama "motivates" him to do, delivery, auto service, fight with Ankush-Barkha, look for a job whatever. I wont be surprised if he is warned off jobs because he his loyalties first lay with Anupama and then anyone else.

Looking at marriages on the show. Huh. The sacred word is the most abused term.
