It was a delight to watch

Like if you're looking for a drama which is short and sweet, without much angst then this is for you

It's on my watchlist I heard it's an adorable show..and since it's a short series I'm watching it sometime soon!

Ah well , I finished melting me softly ..it was okayish ..dragged towards the end ..last 3-4 epis were like that..last episode specially , the worst of them..till the last 2-3 Mins I didn't feel like it's ending..it went on with normal scenes n ended bas..

Also the plot was switching between serious and non serious just like that ..like there were death threats and next scene they are happily attending the office or doing comedy ..

Watched it only for the actors and they were OK.. ultimately there was nothing to their characters which stood out ..occasional comedy here and there was good..

I have to mention wonderland of love ..I've been watching it since the last few days ..

Well it's a personal choice , I liked it ..I liked it as the show progressed..the first half, the first 20-23 epis which were mostly strategic battles to usurp the throne ..the other half was palace politics which I liked better as it had more depth & emotion..Xu Kai and Jin tian were exceptional in their roles..

The leads are good , their characters are great ..both are equals ..in strategizing , in fights, in courage ..their flirting initially was cute , the bets were cute ..the time spent was cute..when they talk they really talk & talk sense ..the action is good.. thankfully we were spared of the gory battle scenes , they were skipped mostly.. we were just told so and so city was taken over..

Just a few initial epis I didn't like much coz I felt she was using his feelings to her advantage..but her feelings were real (she said it later😆 i couldnt believe it for so long ) so it didn't matter..Thereafter it was him , mostly , who was mad at her n later made up to her..

I read in the reviews that he keeps cleaning her mess , I didn't feel it that way ..just once in the initial epis when she made him faint & went to fight the enemy alone , that was stupid....rather , she was like an iron pillar to him , she had a better foresight than him, she was intelligent , level headed , as well as shrewd .. ..she was a well written & well rounded character .she would anyday make a better ruler than him.

Initially I couldn't understand his wish to give up everything & lead a peaceful life far away, as the emperor was a clown , his brothers were useless & the throne was not safe in their hands ..only he was capable enough to be the emperor and get that peace which he wishes for..this is what she tried to drill it in him.....but later on as the story progressed & his dilemma came forth , it was played out really well..and basically formed the crux of the whole story

he got a rude awakening & so many lives were lost to finally make him wake up ..epi 30 was the turning point in the story ..

Both were quite right in their perspectives. So when he explained it to her , what they will lose , I totally got it..she too was correct but like consort xio said , the life of crown prince and crown princess comes with a lot of difficulty and sacrifices..when it came to walking the walk and talking the talk, she snapped lol ..he couldnt treat her unjustly , he couldn't lose her , he couldn't lose the throne to useless ppl or traitors , there was a lot he had to balance & a lot was achieved with sacrifices and compromises ..she was unhappy to begin with but understood later

All the epis following epi 30 , except 38,39 (which were really stupid btw ) , were quite nice to watch..their romance , angst , passion , everything was a treat to watch ..Their first night was exiting 🤣 sword fight 🤣 the scene after their consummation was amazing as well..🤣

A side note for the side characters.. seriously how delusional can one be ? Both Mr chungfeng and Ms gu were total drama company and their nautanki became comic after a while..how many times did he have to come bk frm dead , kidnap her , stage the shadi natak and dream of a happy married life with her, it was really foolish , giving so much screen space to them ..it was a waste..

The last bit with minister gu was very weak , as though they were trying to just fill up the 40 epis..epi 38, 39 were stupid ..she died and woke up just like that.. and they suddenly started talking abt hours spent and all🤣

But anyways.. the last episode made up for it..this is one show where the story felt really complete with the marriage & kids ..and a glimpse of their blissful married life too..adorable ..

I've read till the end of the moon is a better show so I'll be watching that one..something else in between.

The last 3-4 cdramas I've seen , I've become a fan of all the female leads🤩 abs love each one of them ..that's how the characters of female leads must be written..👏 I like the kdrama fls also , they are no less.but cdramas have an edge

Finished as beautiful as you ..

Everything is cool, almost the same template as other romcoms but if you like the lead pair , it's for you..it doesn't disappoint , except for the end part , they didn't have to show their life story till the end , a perfect love story ends at marriage & I was happy with it

Best part about this show is that although our hero mentors the fl , she has her own journey ..she shows a lot of growth frm being a techi to an entrepreneur, on personal front and professional , she excels in both ..👏 always ready to learn , admit her mistakes , acknowledge her weaknesses , yet she refuses to become a shadow of him ..she has her own thoughts, beliefs and aspirations which she puts into use & he let's her, he gives her the freedom , the canvas , the paints , but unfortunately it was only uptil a point as his own interests were at stake ..she listens to him but not everytime she follows him..sometimes she's right sometimes wrong but that's not the point ..turning a challenge into an opportunity 👏 that's where I loved her the most ..

Han ting was smart , suave , perceptive , he can be ruthless to his enemies , he can be much more , like he said he has a million sides to him ..but for ji xing it was just him he never showed his emotional side to anybody but her ..

One particular scene caught my attention, it came twice or thrice & I found it very cute..when he follows her to her apartment, later to her hotel room..just walking and walking mindlessly behind her till she reaches her door 😍

His cooking ..uffr those scenes were the best 👌 I just love this aspect of all these shows , how the hero tries to Impress his girl with his cooking skills..otherwise also , he puts so much meaning into it ..cooking & dining together , these scenes are my most fav in all the shows.

Both set of parents were very nice here 👌

Sounds really good. Added to the watchlist. I've seen Xu Kai more than in 2 shows, so I'm all in for him. Even FL is same as in Go ahead. I love strong and independent women, it looks exactly how I like.

It is yaar..they mostly get the office romance right The hero is eye candy, for me that's enuf , rest is bonus..the fl is also very very good , she is styled really well throughout ..baaki I won't give further spoilers , kaafi likh diya in the other thread 😁
