She was good in the show especially the last few episodes

I was actually shocked to see so much praise for her. I thought she was just much better than Sharmin. That's about it.

I haven't bothered to watch the show since I don't care for Bhansali's post-DP/RS works so I can't comment on Manisha's performance. But she never clicked for me as an actress. I like her in some stuff but there's a reason she never became a top star.

That being said, Rekha was all praise for her. Rekha was the original choice for the role about 20 years ago and she did say that if she couldn't play it, she's glad Manisha did.
