Abhishek Bachchan skips wishing Aishwarya Rai

Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus ‘Ponniyin Selvan: I’ won four National Award at the 70th ceremony including Best Tamil Film. However, Abhishek Bachchan skipped wishing his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who also acted in it amid their divorce rumours.

Featuring actors like Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala, Prabhu, R Sarathkumar, and Vikram Prabhu in significant roles, PS 1 was one of the most anticipated films of 2022.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who played the role of Nandini in the period drama film also received huge appreciation for her performance. Coming out in her support and to congratulate the entire team, Aishwarya’s husband and Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan also shared a poster of the film and further extended his best wishes. However, his now-deleted tweet had already gone viral for all the wrong reasons back in the day.

In a tweet shared by Abhishek Bachchan, he shared a morphed image which seemed like a fan-made poster of the film on his Twitter handle and further congratulated the team on the day of release. Not just that, the actor also misspelled the name of his wife in the hashtags inside the tweet.

I knew he was making OTT films now but I had no idea he was reduced to making OTT shows too. No wonder he jumped at the chance to play the villain in a SRK movie. I'll give Abhishek credit here that despite his tantrum about not playing leading roles, he's always a good sport taking a secondary role in SRK movies. He seems to know that SRK is a generous enough actor that he always gives Abhishek good material and there's a trust there between these two. Hrithik may be Abhishek's childhood friend, but he doesn't have that trust to work with him especially after Dhoom 2 where Hrithik stole all the accolades.
