I read film damini of 1990s was also taken from a paper article story
So i did some research on stree and got to know its taken from real life incidents
many movies are inspire by real life
i read kanatara too was inspired by the ghosts/gods ppl worship in western ghats
many films can take real life inspiration
Inspiration from real life is natural and as old as humans started to tell stories...then writing them...then putting them into drawings/comics and moving pictures...all this is a tool to learn about humankind, their way of living and their myths. I always find this fascinating and it's a quite entertaining way to learn (this mixed tool should far more get used in schools...but alas...if one does it as a teacher one gets told - by the authorities - that it isn't 'serious' enough).
As long as my mind works well, I'll never stop to use all this - in learning and education
Can someone repost 'Nale Baa' article again please. Thanks
