I watched Miss Night and Day

Really liked it.

ML is a Prosecutor and FL is someone who becomes a old women in day time gets back as young original self in night time.

It had added fun elements in between.

FL has a nice non toxic family

The side characters are those jinko bohot saare k dramas mein dekha hain.

It's on my watchlist will definitely check it out sounds like a fun lighthearted show and I like the plot. Characters seem quite good especially the actress playing the old woman seemed hilarious in the promos😄😊

In The Princess Royal, I continued to watch because Li Rong's and Pei Wen Xuan's relationship got stronger and they support each other. Yes after a bit, I find SRQ's goal to remove Li Chuan is too much. SRQ ended up hurting his own family instead. I understand that he doesn't want a ruthless ruler. He seems to have a very stubborn streak and he should have work together with Li Rong. There were some dragging parts.

As for Lost You Forever, I liked XY and CX from the start maybe due to how their story was shown at the beginning. Their childhood is full of tragedy and loss. I was crying for them in the whole first episode and the rest of the drama. Those child actors were amazing. In terms of XY choosing Jing, I do understand her choice based on her requirements. She is very damaged and she wanted someone who she can rely on. Both XY and XL gave each other mixed signals and they are in the opposing side. If he only surrender and stop fighting against Xiyan. CX tried many times to mitigation their conflict but XL was too loyal to his foster father and the soldiers. XY does love XL and she gave him several chances for him to choose her. As for CX, she only loves him as a family. He gave up his personal happiness to get the throne to protect her. I feel all his pain and longings. Ultimately, each steps he made for the throne, he loses her. Yes, CX makes a great benevolent emperor. Like you, I love CX and XL and Jing pales in comparison. Overall, Lost You Forever is one of the best drama for me for having characters complexity and flaws especially CX and XL. These are memorable characters and well acted by Zhang Wanyi and Tan Jian Ci. Yang Zi did a phenomenal job as well. I love all her scenes with Zhang Wanyi.

SRQ was so engrossed in the past IMO, that he refused to believe things could change. He became 100% irredeemable when he was talking about the 'dream' with his brother and lowkey convinced him all the bad things they did were for a bigger picture. Regarding Li Chuan being the ruthless emperor again I feel like he was forced to be that way, small or big, many things lead him to become a monster (I really sound like I collect poisonous emperors, but I'm not lol)

1 whole season and idr exactly when in season 2 I truly wished CX would bag both the throne and the girl. At one point I went like, OK I'll root for CX as an emperor and emperor only. The main reason I couldn't bring myself to say TSJ is a better choice because I see him as a weak person. Many reasons, but to put it in one word, he was pretty weak. I wouldn't have liked it if XL surrendered I like the way he was. Ik that comes with the cost of not getting XY, but seeing how XY was too much into TSJ, XL's sacrifice would be wasted if he surrendered. XY did have a sway towards XL but that will go off as soon as TSJ entered the scene (or at least I felt that way).

To comment on acting Yang Zi blew my mind off with some scenes. Few I could recall are mistaking AN's mother as her mother, meeting her own mother's fragments at her parent's house, and searching for TSJ by the ocean. Tan Jianci - I was fangirling the whole time when he appeared on screen. Zhang Wanyi - I'm definitely collecting him. His versatility is no joke. Especially compared with Fantastic Doctors. Also a few CX scenes are replayed - when he was crowned and when he found out about XYs identity.

LYF should be 'THE' drama to get into Cdramaland. Absolutely loved it. And you're right, in terms of complexity I don't think any drama would top this one.

It is fun

Both the leads had a great chemistry and makers under utilized their chemistry.

FL annoyed me by not telling the ML the reality, bandi ne ek aire gere tak ko bata diya tha except the ML and her parents.

Faltu ka breakup kiya ML se, usko ignore kiya.

Relationship with ML mein FL annoyed me due to her nonsense hide and seek behavior with ML for no reason.

Finished : Blossoms in Adversity

Another drama where Lu Yuxiao does better acting the main lead actress . Hope she starts landing main lead roles.

However, knowing the outcome of the novel, I know it's in vain that CX will also get the girl. I'm glad we feel the same because the majority of the fans love Jing or XL. I think we are definitely the minority in supporting CX. I think the character is well written and Zhang Wanyi's AMAZING portrayal that I don't hate or find CX annoying. In contrast, I couldn't connect with SRQ and find him a bit annoying at times. Even now I still hurt for CX so much.

LYF is really one of my top drama. I think in general it's not everyone's cup of tea because some viewers dislike love triangle and there are so many flawed characters. New viewers of Cdrama should watch something lighter and not heavy and a tragedy like LYF. I see so many people dropped or rated the drama really low because they rooted for certain characters only instead of watching the drama as a whole. Also novel readers were dissatisfied with the drama version. Being a Cdrama fans over the years, I realized that you can't expect the drama to be exactly like the novel. Due to censorship or budget, the plot or characters are always diluted or whitewashed. LYF is no different. Without comparing to the novel, LYF is still a masterpiece to me. One of these day, I want to read the novel to get the full-on dark obsessive mode of CX.

Story was good. That was another drama I managed to watch just to see Lu Yuxiao in a support role.

I was quite surprised seeing the YT comments shipping TSJ and XY I binge watched after S2 and avoided spoilers for the ending. Kinda knew XL was gonna die so I was just admiring TJC's acting. But with CX it was different.

Censorship has a huge effect on live adaptation. Main leads especially male leads have to go through a full whitewash makeover. I could understand Duan Jiaxu's(Hidden Love) whitewash to a little extent but in costume dramas especially when the male lead is a general/emperor I don't think that much whitewashing is needed.

I was halfway through S1 when I found out it was based on a novel. Could have given it a try but I think only MTL will be available. Now that I've watched the drama I won't even go near the novel
