The guilt is for falling for J and doing everything he did for her and in the process upsetting the equilibrium of his settled relationship plus causing an upheaval in the lives of one and all he is related to!

With regards to J, he has shut the chapter coz he says “Kis muh se jayu main use dhoondne? After all the apmaan that was meted out to her?!”

That said, this show makes its characters mouth dialogues that have no relation nor relevance sometimes to the past, other times to the future, as the characters conveniently forget what they have said yesterday!

Didn’t get a chance to watch the epi yet, but atm Ani’s atonement lies in Arshi being able to dance again! That’s how he looks at his prayaschittya!And make things sahi for Arshi!

He has a bigger redemption that he owes J, but in his eyes and mind , J is still someone who has thukrao’ed him and jo chala gaya woh chala gaya!
If not out of sight, out of mind, then at least hidden /shut in some deep crevices of his mind!

I wanted Ani’s character to progress with regards to his equation with J, instead it has digressed, or at least progressed in the wrong direction.
And with how the makers are, I wouldn’t be surprised if he asks J to give a walkover to Arshi at the finals, as Arshi’s winning is the ultimate goal he is blinded by! Also if Guruji junior comes in between, or just by seeing J stay at Guruji junior’s house, with grapevine doing what it does best, the stories weaved might not sit well with Ani, and may cause a face off between J and him- coz his character hasn’t progressed in the aspect of handling J’s male friends with dignity and grace!

In short, Ani might go from doom, doomer, doomest!

With regards to the initial promos, where Ani calls Arshi his wife and the voiceover says, will J ever get her wife rights - this cannot be a concern as J is NOT his wife anymore, so there’s no reason for her to expect it nor reason from him to give it! The annulment put an end to this question !

bold: yes, I am also dreading it! He’s gonna come and ask Jhanak to concede defeat to Arshi .. I don’t know how or with what ‘munh’ he can expect Jhanak to pay for his ‘sins’ as his atonement but I think this might happen!

Jhanak too will readily surrender her everything to Arshi didi since she too has a baggage and equally feels guilty for falling in love with Ani and now indirectly responsible for the mishap( her father has already started working on her mind regarding this as seen in today’s precap)

Our cowboy Guruji will try to erase this thinking and guide her to do the right thing and be true to her art, which is what she will and should do ! And that our Ani may not be able to digest!

If she had chosen not to let go of her success on her own, he wouldn’t mind but if her action is to be triggered by some one else other than him, it will bother him a lot and hence runak after the Mumbai meet will be a total disaster and at a dead end!! I don’t want that🥹

If I say how I feel for Ani, then as much as I have understood him...

One thing that he really craves for is acceptance....

Professionally, he always had that...He was the King of his domain ...the star all-rounder who band bajaaoed anyone who dared cross him...who had the clout to get anything he wanted to get done...

But personally he was a complete cynic about relationships...carried and still carries the baggage of his troubled relationship with his parents specially mother...He craved acceptance from his mother, I do believe...but the beauty of this show was that it was shown subtly...it was implied rather than told specifically.... through his dialogues... through the way Ani looks at Tanuja....he was in relationship with Arshi bcz Arshi ticked his every box...and would earn him that brownie point before his family that he always craves for..and he was content..as he never thought something more than that is possible....he had not seen or experienced that kind of love around him ever..but then Jhanak happened and he understood what it takes to feel those Emotions...he changed..

Which brings us to Jhanak...what acceptance was he exactly craving from Jhanak? Acceptance for his human fallacies? For the mistakes he's made? Is it love that makes him crave this acceptance or low self-esteem? Or do the two go hand in hand together anyways? Isn't it said that love weakens some? It most definitely seems to be the case with him..His falling in love with Jhanak has led to his self-esteem taking a serious beating....

Yes.. I really think just like Jhanak he also has serious self esteem issues...which is hard to believe.... considering his position and name...but what else is it...

When I look at him to again and again bend infront of his evil family caring for them..when they are absolutely inconsiderate...I.wonder where it all stems from...is it low self-esteem that makes some ppl bend so much even when they get NOTHING from the other end....

I have always said.." Aniruddh Bose" is like the twilight of Bose house....the one who is the connecting link between the dark Basu and pure Basu....He has always put on various masks... being Everything for everyone at various moments..he has never allowed himself to make any mistake....and this time when actually made mistakes.., he is self- destructing..He knows where he is going.. but he probably feels he deserves this punishment for being unfair to both of them at some point...May be he considers him falling for Jhanak a mistake as well......and I believe he also has low self-esteem...how can someone who has never gotten pure love from his parents won't have it....how will he consider himself worthy....why won't he be guilty if he is made to realise how much he has insulted someone's love which is Arshi here.....when that is the thing he craves the most....

You have made a compelling case about Anirudh’s feelings of wanting acceptance etc but here’s the thing…

I am not denying this is what Ani is about but any protagonist must show a climb in arc after a life altering experience.. for me being with Jhanak is that life altering experience for Ani..warna mile hi kyun?

For me principally, if his actions at this point don’t hark back to Jhanak.. then essentially this is a just a parallel track and never the twain shall meet. Or even if they do… any reigniting of feelings would seem like a lie.

To me, his actions now are more rooted to Jhanak not anyone else. In his relationship with Arshi too… he is following Jhanak… soulless maybe but nevertheless giving it his best shot as a husband. He told he will perform to agitate jhanak but now he is performing to please Jhanak
