I also think the game is in arshi ‘s hand now ! The way she was looking at people in BH , what she said to ani … it was giving me feel like her revenge might not be limited to J but can extend to Ani now and in turn to BH..

It could well be , I will remain true and honest to this one relationship and I have chosen this one, out of the two for the following reasons -

1. Arshi has gone through a lot, faced an unimaginable level of mis-fortune and I will not do anything, that disturbs her emotionally one bit!

4.As long as I am assured she is breathing, safe and happy, that is all I want for her ! Ani is a protector and an enabler.....lover comes much later !

5.If I let my family know, I consider Arshi to be my wife, at least the shaadi nonsense would stop ! Let me tell them that ! What happens to me from now on, is irrelevant for me ! Mr.Quickfixer maybe thinks, I might feel suffocated, cornered, stifled in this relationship might fall sick coz of it, but that would be for me to deal with, as and when it comes!

Truth be told, he cannot gauge how he is really going to feel, around Arshi ! Worst still, if he has programmed his brain, he might force himself to believe that he is happy with her and continue the act, life long, as in his mind ,it would be his way of repenting and being fair to Arshi, after the fate she has faced due to Ani bringing J to their lives and causing the upheaval that it has, which he is constantly reminded about by his family!

In short, he has closed the J chapter and hidden it in some deep crevices of his heart, he is not going to let that get exposed, for J's well-being and he will from now on follow the path of zimmedari!

Probably BH will learn it the hard way, for letting Arshi and Shirshti enter BH and for treating Ani as their prodigal child!

I haven’t watched the episode so the thoughts I penned were instinctive and while I read your thoughts it starts to make sense. as having one more perspective always does
Ani is a complex character and so it is not the first time he has played this game but this time he hasn’t actually played it. Usually he has an ace up his sleeve to manipulate but this time everything is coming to nought as the one for whom he did that is nowhere in sight; he has actually reverted to this other game which he is an ace at… going through the motions as it were auto-pilot.

Today when I read up the updates that familiar dhak dhak happened. 😂😂😂 The finality of Ani’s words rang like a deathknell.

Due to ITV scarring, there’s always the lurking fear that these writers are up to no good ( well this can still happen 😜)

For me….. it’s the complete resignation to the relationship at Ani’s end. In my books, Ani was feeling stifled in that relationship with Arshi after Jhanak came into his life and his inability to break through that…the reasons slightly complex, flawed et al

When Ani was getting married in the mandap… while I didn’t know what would avert the marriage I knew it would be averted and while there was a role for fate there too…I felt Ani was submitting to it with a sense of anger and a bravado of “You told me to go through this and here I am…. In name only Arshi’s husband”

If it had materialised then… I don’t know what would have been my thoughts but for me this whole time I have constantly felt Ani was at least mentally trying to break the bond with Arshi not fortifying it. Shaadi hona nahin hona but even without it… there was emotional infidelity and the urge to deal with it

Ani being reconciled to Jhanak going away has happened in the past too but it always felt that Ani was sad about it. It’s the finality in what you describe just doesn’t cut it for me

I wasn’t squeamish about the underlying emotional infidelity at play here through this entire time coz I always thought of it as a moral conflict story but I expected lovers or at least one lover be committed to the love. For me it’s not marriage that’s the deal breaker but the acceptance ( finality) of a relationship in any form.

..i just want to say man's psychology is so immensely complex that noone...not the person himself can explain y he did wat he did...as I believe Ani almost committed suicide metaphorically by going for marriage with Arshi ..in .the name of performance only to show Jhanak...but his pretence dropped on the day of marriage only...the way he looked at her on the mandap..there was no anger or bitterness but only acceptance of fate....
let me say it this way...Ani did something which was a point of no return...he knew that he would lose every possibility of having Jhanak forever...but still he did it...
one reason was that he thought probably that he already lost Jhanak...
second reason was that at that time he had given himself in the hands of fate...like u know he was in middle of the ocean with no sense of direction...so he just lets his body float and let the waves take him in whichever direction it wants....

He is doing it now also... surrendering to fate....he is aware of the blunders he has made...and he knows that it is the choice he has made ...and now he will have to stand by it...

May be he thinks sab ki bhalai isi me hai....that sabki includes Jhanak as well...he also thinks that Jhanak is also better away from him ,hence he would not complicate it further....

Makers showing that jahank is happy without him.this is clear indication that doesn't want raunak 's love story and today ani also declared.

Fantastically written Sohini. All these are possibilities. As many of you told, what hurts more is Ani didn’t even give it a try even a bit for his love as he is the one who could have made things happen for them I mean Runak. I know it is a past tense now and a finished chapter. What even more hurts is the love which they both had didn’t even come to light to the Bose family especially Ani’s pyar for Janak and the family still blames her for trying to snatch Ani.
