Mujra is also a form of Khatak if I am not wrong. Atleast that was what umrao jaan etc portrayed. As far as what I have heard, khatak was adopted by the courtesans during mughals and the attire was slightly adjusted to adopt the mughal time like the maang tikka etc and was popularized and mujra.
