Hey, that ain't me! By IndiaFM News Bureau, November 8, 2005 - 02:01 IST Looks like this Kaliyon ka Chaman is attracting a lot of unwanted bhawrein these days!
The voluptuous beauty has got into a sleaze slugfest once again but what makes it worse is that, this time around, she is fighting the makers of her latest release, Bad Friend. And what's the mess all about? Well, the southern bombshell has accused the makers of altering the posters of the film.
One morning when the actress ventured out of her home for routine stroll, her jaw dropped at what she saw on the streets. There were posters of her newly released film 'Bad Friend' plastered all over. Don't see anything wrong there, right? But what bothered Meghna was that the posters were heavily tampered with. For example, her clothes were not quite the same she wore when shooting for them. The makers seemed to have done some mischievous 'stripping' on computers.
The colors had mysteriously changed, bustier straps had disappeared, her skirt was conveniently clipped a couple of inches short. But what left the southern star completely aghast was that, in one picture, her cycling shorts had vanished, leaving her wrapped just in a piece of cloth!
"It's completely unethical and frustrating to the core. How dare the makers alter my clothes without my permission," is her angry reaction. Going by her reputation, its tough to concede but the southern star contests "The film has no sleazy scenes, and I have hardly exposed in it. But these 'altered' photographs might give a different impression," she adds in a huff.
Her sister Sona, who had designed the clothes for this photo shoot, is fuming too. "It's not done. It was such a creative shoot. Now the pictures look unintentionally inviting," she points out.
What needs to be seen is how Meghna responds to this lynching? Will she withdraw support from the promotional tour for the film like most do or talk it over the table? Let's hope the makers don't turn Bad Friends and solve the matters amicably.
Take Care
