Exactly. Janki should have let Mauli leave. The girl was going away by herself.
If Janki can't accept her wholeheartedly for her grandson Rahul then she needn't have stopped her.
Her amazing dialogues to Mauli now seems just pure selfishness. You can't just keep a person in your home and not even acknowledge or accept her as one of your own.
Why should Mauli live a life of mehendi ka ped and just keep giving happiness to that house and keep getting only heartbreak and snide remarks in return?
Janki makes her own share of mistakes. The thing is she hands out sazaa to everyone while there is no one who dares to give her any sazaa.
💕💕@ bold Such a thought provoking comment, deep and sad but so true, somewhere these are the expectations (in general) society has of women and a woman is considered a great woman only if she sacrifices her self for the greater good of the family, she has to be all giving, Bhad mein jaye her personal happiness.
Off topic I know of some families where the daughter is the only earning member, and parents and her siblings are reluctant to get her married and have her own family because they fear that their source of income will dry out, while the siblings are all willing to be married off and have families of their own.
