Yup it does seem very unlikely to be a promo. Twist to is inevitable. Jo bhi ho bas ye engagement nhi honi chahiye aur agr galti se ho bhi jae to tootna is inevitable but I really hope ki ye naubat hi na aaye.

In the BTS, we can actually see the entire ring exchange taking place so don’t think kuch twist hoga unless this is a promo shoot.

Although I can’t see the long term solution to Janki’s thought process. Does she think that a wedding/marriage will magically erase RauLi’s closeness? She should have let Mauli leave if she was so afraid of oonch neech. Other than Jyoti, she is the one person to notice their bond. Why fan it? On the contrary, this relationship will destroy three lives. At least Manas was already a part of the whole drama when Janki was preaching reconciliation; Rati ko toh baahar se daal diya hai iss mein.

Don’t know till what stage of the wedding prep this drama will go, because the later it happens, the more the fallout will be. TanJay and Vaibhav are going to have a visceral reaction to the breaking of this relationship toh they are going to show a lot of this crap before we get some shaanti.

I can understand in normal Indian marriages that nibhaana padega etc etc. Makes sense. But yahaan toh Mauli will always be in front of the other couple. Kitna toxic hoga for Rahul, has Janki thought about that?! Isse acha toh she should have let Mauli leave…that at least makes sense. At that time, she was being mahaan and quoting that Mauli is like the mehendi ka ped. Lol.

Exactly. Janki should have let Mauli leave. The girl was going away by herself.

If Janki can't accept her wholeheartedly for her grandson Rahul then she needn't have stopped her.

Her amazing dialogues to Mauli now seems just pure selfishness. You can't just keep a person in your home and not even acknowledge or accept her as one of your own.

Why should Mauli live a life of mehendi ka ped and just keep giving happiness to that house and keep getting only heartbreak and snide remarks in return?

Off topic I know of some families where the daughter is the only earning member, and parents and her siblings are reluctant to get her married and have her own family because they fear that their source of income will dry out, while the siblings are all willing to be married off and have families of their own.

Taking all of your views into account all actions cannot be pinned on Sabha samapt devi alone as she is already patriarchal and that is her way of thinking from the start itself,Tanjay and Rati are to be blamed as well.

If Rati could have been little emotionally intelligent and understanding person she would have let Rahul follow his heart and not come in between their love story even after knowing everything.She would have even helped Chachiji to bring them together and make them realise their feelings for each other.But she choose to become same toxic alleged gf like in any other tv show.

Tanjay being Rahul's parents must have understood Rahul's feelings or confusion from the day one itself.Tanvi and her bizaare reason for Rahul's engagement is just 'Rahul rishto ko seriously lega engagement ke baad ' is truly shocking.Its also their fault for not understanding their child and throwing him to an unwanted relationship like most of Indian parents do.

If she had this much intellectual understanding she wouldn't be this much of a rigid matriarch. About letting Mauli leave at that time when she left she didn't know why she left & also about Rauli's love. Now that she knows I can say it for sure ki she'll be the first one to support Mauli if she decides to leave. All that mehendi ka ped wala convo felt emotional at that time but whenever it's about Mauli everyone's talk & behaviour turns out to be superficial only exception Rahul & to an extent Cutie Chachi.

Bang on. All her talks of mehendi ka ped & Mauli being the Jaan of the house was just an elaboration of Rahul's talk that's it. She doesn't really care about Mauli & her feelings to an extent Rahul's too all she cares about is her unch neech. Obviously SS devi makes a whole lot of mistakes but there's no one to point it out.
