Actresses careers take a standstill during and a bit after pregnancy while they get back into shape. It seems Ranveer is also avoiding any time consuming projects as he wants to be present for his wife and baby, and rightfully so. This does imply their income will probably take a hit in the meantime. Ranveer is probably going his best to secure funds from any short and easy protects in the meantime. So if going a a few days cruise and performing results in easy money, why not?

But both RS and DP have made TONs of money by now and these people are smart in their investment etc so I wouldn’t worry about their income

Deepika is pregnant, she’s not an invalid . She has three months before her due date. She is happy and healthy and has a slew of domestic assistance and I’m sure medical assistance at her fingertips if needed.

They’re not middle class where they need to budget for their time off. They both can never work a day in their lives again and still live the comfortable lives of rich Bollywood stars.

He went because he got invited. I doubt the Ambanis paid anyone for attending their party.

The main reason stars attend these events is to keep their relations with the ambanis on good terms, the ambanis ask them to perform, some might get money for performing, but they mainly agree to do it due to the power and influence the ambanis hold. They even got the biggest stars in India to serve food to guests at one of their children’s wedding, they got a large group of stars to sit on a bus together in jamnagar that’s how much power the ambanis have. The ambanis have also started producing films as well with Jio studios, so these stars have a lot more to gain by attending these ambani events

Okay but you don't need to stay for an excessively long time if you have a pregnant wife at home. Most of the celebs have already returned. Even half the Ambanis themselves came back. Akash was back only a few hours after the event ended. But Ranveer is still nowhere to be seen.
