Yes, SRK has that personality where he would have excelled no matter his profession! Sushant was similar too.

In my mind, ShahRukh belongs to those persons who try to defy to limit themselves...if some way doesn't work out, he'll look for another one...and his parents played a big role in his choices...his dad died (who failed to become a known actor despite his good looks but had a tea stall which theatre actors frequented) - ShahRukh had to leave a sports carreer (and also no army carreer) because of knee & back injuries, got to know Gauri, joined Barry John's theatre group, got roles in TV-serials...

his mother died...hassles about heritage...committed to Gauri and left Delhi...committed to several movies (supported by Aziz, Kundan, Hema and Viveck)...

So, I think, his famous life has its source in pain and how to overcome it...and I also think that a part of his personality is VERY endearing... (may the good forces of the Universe continue to support him)
