Yes it is a big display of wealth, and tbh they don't seem to care what anyone thinks, they love showing off their wealth and they love the fame and attention it gets them. Only a few of these bollywood stars are actually friends with them, the rest are just invited so that the ambanis can show their power and influence.
Nita I believe is the biggest orchestrator of all of this, she loves the fame and attention this has gotten her and her family, everyone knows their name and who they are, she loves that everyone is talking about them around the world
There are so many rich families around the world, but many we don't even know about, that's becuase they have chosen to stay more private, but that's not what the ambanis have chosen to do
If they hold event in india it creates opportunities for our designers videographers hair and mua decorators catering food supply artists managers etc and that's good
They mostly use such functions to enhance their business. Its lavish display to us but smart move for them. I think they do a lot of donations too

Of course with being OTT in everything, Ambanis, specifically Nita invites these BW people so that their events can get a lot more coverage otherwise nobody would care. It looks more like a circus though, I mean there’s no problem in spending your own money however the f*ck you want but such extravagant unnecessary display is quite unclassy IMO, many top industrialists don’t bother inviting any entertainers from Showbiz since they want to remain as low-key as possible, even if they are spending millions.
