Likewise some immature south people call north people as vadakkans (north indians in Tamil)

This has been going for long so it was unexpected that a celebrity with so much blind following would propogate that steerotype

I have been following SRK since a long time...

I don't think he did it intentionally...But with him the thing is he always carries the burdern of being Shah Rukh Khan...and what people expects from him..

He always tries to say something to keep people entertaining....then two out of ten times he ends up saying something unnecessary & offensive to certain sections...

I hope he has picked up the phone and apologized to RC...

His movies are full of illogical south steerotypes like eating maggie with curd rice (wtf?) so this definitely didn't feel unintentional

Plus his mom was from Hyderabad so technically he is South but uses the "I'm half hyderabadi" only when it's needed

Imagine what would've happened if RC went up the stage and responded with "Hello gol gappe ji or pani puri ji" no saying that RC is a saint , he has done massive screw ups which have been covered up but this felt unnecessary

But he is not dumb..why would he say something soo politically incorrect knowingly!!!I don't know...

But I agree...it was offensive and definitely not needed when his work was to pay respect to RC...
