So I think difficult to break that threshold. But I agree not all 90s show were great. In fact most were crappy

There was another show where Pallavi Agnihotri and Harsh Chhaya played a couple. Pallavi was a simple housewife and Harsh chaya falls for her sister. They have proper affair for years

I remember my mother never allowed me to watch soaps back then.

But there were good shows. Hard hitting ones. AlpViram, Kora Kagaz etc.

About Hasratein I know it was very uncalled for, but I think the Phufaji angle was a bold step to show..

It's true that many girls who live with their non blood related male relatives especially if they don't have anywhere else to go, face this issue. This was really appreciable that they raised it, however the issue is, they didn't resolve it

They didn't resolve it at all , the next 10 mins of that episode turned into a sitcom! And then it was as if those two episodes didn't even happen! They never acknowledged it again smiley3

Hasratein really went leaps and bounds to glorify her EMA

Alpviram is in a league of it's own...hard hitting for sure but wasn't bad , that entire storyline was handled maturely

Kora kagaz idk if it was really good , she falls for her brother in law smiley3

Her falling for her BIL was very organic not just like she fell for him just as a rebound.

A statement in 90s that if my husband cheated and lived with his gf/second wife since the time of their marriage, why can't the wife(who practically never lived even a single day with her husband) find another guy?

In fact she asks the question to her husband when he wanted to reconcile with her if he would have accepted her had she said that she fell for someone while being married to him, he says there is a difference between males and females. It was then she says she is in love with her BIL. Before that it was all unexpressed

I take back my words , this sounds better than whatever Hasratein tried to portray but failed in epic proportions

I read about this show in wiki back in 2021 when i watched 9 Malabar hill and was amazed by Renuka Sahane's acting (that show was the first show in which i saw her)and read through her filmography and tv shows list and read about this show in wiki....is this show available anywhere? Watching this might clear my head after my trip to memory lane with Hasratein
