Riddhima was married off extremely early before she ever had a sense of self or an opinion about anything. Now that the generation of Kapoors has done moderately well (Ranbir, Kareena) she regrets being married off so young and wants her kids to also have a career in Bollywood. After all, why should only the male stars/children of the male stars have futures in Bollywood? Shashi Kapoor's side does mostly theatre now, so it would be Riddhima, Kareena, and Ranbir's kids in Bollywood. With Karishma her daughter said no long back to becoming a mainstream actress, if she does anything she will do theatre/side work/costume design/production, her son is even less enthusiastic.

But Riddhima's daughter is not really used to being in the spotlight and is notoriously awkward when placed at family functions. Usually star parents allow their quieter/shyer kids to stay out of the spotlight if they are uncomfortable (Kajol with Yug (poor child freaks out with the paps), Madhuri with Ryan, Karishma with her son) but Riddhima ends up calling the paps everywhere her kid goes.

I heavily doubt she really wanted to be on a reality show of all things, kinda concerned Riddhima is going to set her up to being trolled, since she'll enthusiastically push her as the next major "Kapoor" ie a comparison to Kareena.

Kareena is notoriously fully of energy and has a strong personality, so poor Samara is a bit set up. Not to mention Kareena and Riddhima have a very awkward relationship, Riddhima is close to Karishma's crazy scary husband and his circle. The only reason they got 'close' is because Karan Johar got them all together at his events.
