If the reason Salman wants this is for the safety of the girls then I can understand...

Being idealistic is okay that women can wear anything wherever they want but in practical scenarios it's quite risky. you want to dress appropriately if u don't want unwanted attention on yourself.

Wearing Burka is extreme (imo) so is roaming around in ultra revealing dresses on set where there are all types of people. A middle path, where u dress up modestly in say jeans tshirt etc is more appropriate & practical imo.

Why can’t he teach the boys to behave like humans ? Why do the women have adjust and alter themselves ?

Although I can't open the instagram video (my free choice as I don't want to oblige to Cookies), I remember that there already had been a thread about this topic some time ago.

If boys should "behave like humans" then it would indeed be nice to not wearing skimpy clothes during work...it's quite distracting and doesn't further positive opinons about the said girls/women.

Pretty people don't need that to be found pretty. Flaunting the assets one has (male and female) is good for movies, red carpets and generally in a safe environment where one wants to attract gazes.

It's not 'altering' "themselves" if - on a set/workplace - the crew wears decent clothes, imo.

Of course, I'm in for educating boys to respect the personal space of a girl and imposing to men to do the same towards girls/women and t h a t should be independent of what the latter wear ... it is in human nature to want to get noticed...on a workplace, imo, it should be through the investment into the respective work and a collegial behaviour.

Probably because he doesn't know all the people coming and going on the sets. 🤔

It's easier to change yourself than the world.

Oh, do enlighten us, why is the burqa considered extreme? If the goal is to avoid unwanted attention from men, wouldn't the burqa offer the best protection? I mean, some guys might still ogle you in jeans and a shirt, but with a burqa, there's nothing for them to look at. How can you be so sure that jeans and a shirt will protect me from stares any more than a more revealing outfit would?
