Did Arjun Kapoor ruin Ashtoush Gowariker’s directorial career?

It’s sad Ashutosh Gowariker doesn’t make lavish period epics anymore. Arjun Kapoor destroyed his career in Panipat. Panipat was a decent movie, but nothing extraordinary. Is it safe to say Ashtoush can’t make a movie anymore for the big screen? I loved his Jodhaa Akbar and one of the only movies where Bahurani showed her promise of decent acting.

Panipat with Arjun Kapoor was only the last of those movies after Jodhaa Akbar who weren't successful.

PC's movie What's Your Raashee (12x PC as 12 different women with 12 different zodiac signs dancing in 12 songs) may have better done with half of the number...then followed the movie with Abhishek and Deepika (getting decent critics but got rejected by the audience).

Next was Mohenjo Daro and then Panipat.

He started with Pehla Nasha and support of the Khans (Aamir, SRK and Saif together in a little cameo) but unsuccessful.

Also his second movie with Aamir as lead wasn't successful.

So, Ashutosh had a slow start, then a quality high with high profile stars and then a slow declining.

I don't know if he will recover and return to direction.
