Didn’t Manish say something to Ruhi about how her mother sacrificed her love for her sister or something like that ? Is that supposed to be an indication of what Ruhi should do? Although from what I’ve read there was no sacrifice .. ..how can you sacrifice something that was never yours ?

ITV has their own law mostly according to Trp. We have to accept that. According to the current narrative is ruhi is rohits widow or you can she was the wife of late. Rohit Poddar and widow can remarry. This will only change if rohit come back alive. Divorces has happened in my family so I knew the procedures, along with the couples signature, signature of witnesses from both sides are required for the agreement to be submitted in the court for approval.

So don't apply logic, go with the flow of the story as creatives and writer's will show what they want to show. It is writer's creative liberty.

We’re only talking of what will happen in the event of Rohit returning ..legally Rohit cannot be declared dead since no body was found ..only after the passage of seven years can the declaration of death happen and even that requires a court process ..obviously ITV doesn’t care about IPC even if the show’s central characters are lawyers ..!

This is also I am telling, this is itv, not real life, no logic, no real life laws work here. So anything can happen according to what writer want

And one more thing in my state few years back a cyclone hit fisherman who was out in the sea. Govt sent a rescue mission, some saved, some dead and few others gone missing. Government decided to declare those missing people also dead as chances of returning them are slim and their families will be eligible for applying the benefit declared by the government.

Coming to the show if poddars go to court claiming that there is no chance for Rohit's return so that court change his current status from missing to dead so that ruhi can remarry it is possible. But I highly doubt that they show this. Only chances is rohits return or him remain as dead as dadisa has declared. Anyway Dadi is the law of poddars.

Although, going by the divorce promo, Armaan is taken aback when served the papers ..and things look cordial between them ..so how any engagement between Armaan and Ruhi will fit into this narrative is beyond me 🙄
