Ani is calm and calculative by nature, no wonder a result/ defense mechanism of his Childhood PTSD. He maintains boundaries with his family and his proclaimed lover. The only person who has been a grand miscalculation is his life is Jhanak- who tests his boundaries, his assumptions and feelings. She has been the only person who is able to bring out genuine reactions/feelings from him- whether it be ANGER, JEALOUSY, FRUSTRATION, CARE, CONCERN OR ANYTHING ELSE. Hence his reactions seem OTT, OOC and impulsive when it comes to her. I can delve deeper into why that is so. I am already writing on it. Just a lot to unpack and hence not elaborating here.

I do not think woh jhanak and Rahul ko seriously consider karta hai. He uses his name with jhanak very selectively jab woh chida hua hota hai with full jealously mode on. He himself gave the excuses Rahul shaadi kaise karega, abhi settle nahi hai etc to jhanak before the marriage drama. He definately has temperamental issues. Main aise hi sochti thi abt Anirudh'a take on Rahul, ab wohi soch se main darti hoon, kyunki his monologue yesterday/today gave me the Shock of this series. Ab in between the lines read karne mein darr lagta hai, cz like someone pointed yesterday, this may very well be a novel whr main lead (in this case Jhanak) is the End Goal. Its just about her journey. I can imagine Runak all I want but what if that's not the plan. So safeguarding myself by believing its just abt 'Jhanak'
