Bold - She did not reject him. He was never in contention? Always out of bounds and soon to be married to Arshi didi. When did he ever propose to her and give her a chance to reject him? Has he not always maintained that he is eager and about to marry Arshi and koi teesra unke beech nehi aa sakta ??

Oh also wanted to add: similar to how he wants to keep her at his home at the excuse of Tejas, the letter is another way for him to maintain a connection with her subconsciously. Whenever this question came up from Jhanak as to why he is keeping her here, he only iterated

"Uske piche bahot badi wajah hai"

because for him, Jhanak is still naive, needs a guide/ mentor. Hence, he feels it's not the right to reveal to her now because she doesn't have the patience, calculatedness or skill set like him to extract vengenace. She is simple and straight to the point and also powerless unlike Aniruddh Bose. Another example of his Saviour complex kicking in, overriding her wishes and showing dominance. Because he thinks he knows better, and Jhanak is the person who opposes it with a straight face and most of the time irrefutable logic.

It's a case of Unstoppable force vs Immovable object to describe J vs Ani.

So, in short, don't know if he will use this as an excuse to torment her. He hasn't fallen that far in my graces; but his marriage with Arshi will be a reason to torment her. For rejecting him and considering someone else.
