But those 80s 90s action did not have same deshbhakti in all releases

If at all patriotic it was at some gap once in a while release

But in these times all we are getting is same patriotic mission based / biopics etc

HAHK came before ddlj and changed the game. That was in 1994.

DDLJ came a full year after that.

I guess taming the rogue acting Bollywood credit goes to Barjatyas. They started testing waters in 1989 by MPK.

Not true

Not Chandni (1989) and Ddlj (1995), but, Qayamat se qayamat tak (1988) and Maine pyar kiya (1989) have changed the game/trend and paved the way for romantic movies.
