Karan Patel born November 23, 1983.
He is a Gujarati. And from a Gujarati background, he was born in Gujarat .
He studied at the Utpal Sanghvi School, Juhu, near Mumbai and then at Mithibai College, Mumbai. He hails from a business family and is the only son. Patel has attended Kishore Namit Kapoor's Acting School as well as London School of Arts. He also attended Shaimak Daavar's dance classes.
He stars in the STAR Plus series Kasturi, where he plays the character Robbie Sabarwal.
He is also a dancer in Nach Baliye 3 with his partner Amita Chanderkar who is also an actress in Kasturi as Pooja.He is also a host in Kaho Na Yaar Hai.
His role in Kasturi is his first as the lead. Previously, he played a number of roles in Balaji's other productions. His first role was in Kahaani Ghar Ghar ki where he played Vigyat. He has also worked in Kasauti Zindagi ki and Kasam Se.

He may be a tough guy on the show but, in real life Karan Patel claims that he is a very emotional person and even small special moments can bring tears to his eyes.
Karan, who is a Sagittarius by birth and studied at Mithibai college, confessed that he hardly went to attend his class as he would be out having fun with friends all day long.
Karan's hobbies are horse riding at Turf Club and he is very creative and loves writing, and socializing with close buddies is what he enjoys the most. Karan says that he is romantic to the core and "Na Jaane Mere Dil Ko Kya Hoga" is his favorite track.
