Preity didn't looked like a conventional Pakistani girl at all, she seems like a misfit for this role from her looks.

Ash would have looked much better with her classic eastern beauty.

But I guess taking a Pakistani actress to play a Pakistani girl would have been the best decision and would have generated even more hype for the film, just like Zeba Bakhtiyar did wonders in film Heena.

Thank god someone else felt it too.I love Preity..she’s stunning but I didn’t like her look in Veer-Zara and always felt she was a misfit for the role.It just never worked for me.

I cannot imagine anyone else playing Zaara other than Preity! She was perfect for me. VZ is one of my most favorite films because of her and her pairing with SRK.

Preity may come across more as cute because of her personality, but she was/is beautiful as well. She looked so beautiful in movies such as Har dil jo pyaar, Koi Mil Gaya, Salaam Namaste 😍

Aishwarya Rai is a makeup 💄 queen. Cake loads of makeup turned me off in Mohabbatein. She is beautiful but it’s artificial.
Preity is naturally beautiful and more real.
