Movie was about couples. But the chemistry between 2 men (Bachchan and SRK) was the strongest
The songs are very good and can still be listened to
Absolutely... it was the main goal of the movie to establish this chemistry between Amitji and SRK...in my viewing experience, that was the main goal from the very beginning... after giving flowers to different people and sitting down on the steps, the first encounter that mattered was with the principal (Amitji) and even viewing this movie at the first time, I noticed the changing in the protagonist's behaviour and knew at once that he had an issue with the man who talked to him.
As absolutely e v e r y t h i n g had been new to me, I just let go of any analysing and simply enjoyed all what was new to me...in a way that wasn't even completely new as in Germany, we had also musicals (many years ago) with stars who could sing and dance and act.... I enjoyed the dances, had no problem with the female singing voices, succumbed to the emotional tracks and got deeply involved into the music teacher manipulating the youngsters (thinking of an Indian rendition of the Dead Poets Society)... However, it was just curiosity and enjoyment...not yet the main actor as such (although I wondered that the other two dvds I got had the same actor as main lead)
I love Ankhein Khuli....a very comfort song
