Instead of seeing this as cheating, I see this as a bigger sacrifice made by Surya. If he wasn't in love with Anjali or in a relationship with her, marrying Imlie is not a huge sacrifice. Now there is meaning to what he did. Also, this gives reason for Anjali to become a full fledged vamp to try and separate Surya and Imlie. Unless there was conflict in Surya, there could not be a story.

Nyonika had more potential to create havoc in Agastya imlie life. She was a from same status as Chaudharys and came from stable Family. Here the positive thing is this Anjali is here even before leads falling in Love so most probably she will only bring them closer and will fail in every attempt of separating surya and imlie but still we have to tolerate her with surya .. But hopefully it won't be much.

More of i am a person who believes in total pure essence when its comes to leads i don't like when married leads get proximity wale scenes with others i hated when viswa used to touch imlie i hated August binni ka fake marriage stuff.. So yes call me old school but leads should only be with each other when its comes to such scenes lol baki other way separation or MU stuff is ok as its brings angst. Baki toh we know trp ke liye drama is must.

I was thinking about the same thing. What if it was Agastya who ex would have come after all the tall promises and love confessions he did with Imlie. It would have been so unbearable to even see Agastya being cordial with his ex. The whole Agastya imlie love story would have been ruined.

with Surya Anjali I am somewhat still able to continue watching the show because it's all pre falling in love phase. This 3rd angle is not going to obstruct the main love story but ignite the feelings between them.

yeh 3rd angle ka promo ek fan page ne post Kiya tha uske 100k views aa gaye. Promo thoda sensational type tha attention grabbing type. If 3rd angle is executed with enough trp drama, show can easily get back its trps

Imlie and Agastya were supposed to be each other's first love.. Uske saath ex-lover wala situation, would have definitely tinted that "pehla nasha.. pehla khumaar" kinda vibe..

He is just standing with Imlie for the 1 year and maybe he is okay with this because after 1 year he can marry Anjali. Now Surya readily agreeing to the 1 year condition from Imlie kind of makes him a self centered person. Neither Surya is in love with Anjali the way Agastya was in love with Imlie or Imlie with Agastya - If the love was indeed that deep then Surya leaving Anjali to be with Imlie will be a sacrifice on Surya's part because he has let go of something that huge to fulfill the promise given to his grandmother and to honor his late dead brother's wish.
