Today's episode makes it very clear - Surya is not attracted to Imlie and whatever he is doing is because of Agastya ka video and his grandmother's promise. In fact If after a year if Imlie becomes a successful person and says that she wants to separate from him as she can not forget Agastya then I feel Surya is not going to say no. Also Surya does know the depth of love that Imlie and Agastya had for each other. So I think he kind of knows that there is no way there is going to be any love between Surya and Imlie.

If in this scenario, Anjali comes back who definitely seems to be head in over heels in love with Surya and the family's wish for being Surya's wife, do you all think Surya is going to pay attention to Anjali ? Whatever it is I really hope Surya does not encourage Anjali because be it for 1 year or for life Surya is right now committed to Imlie and it is not good on his part to give wrong signals to Anjali. What do you all think ?

Surya ka abhi utna character growth dikhaya nai hai... But from what all I could make out from last few episodes, especially today when he said.. "Main solid aadmi hai, and mere body se jyada solid, is my character"..

I think, ye aadmi itna aasani se behakne/pighalne wala types nai lag raha.. Na Anjali se, and filhaal Imlie se also he is being intentionally distant, as you rightly pointed out...

So much to say about today’s episode, watched a bit late so my thoughts may not be all in order.

Imlie’s voice modulation on the phone call was so nice, Adrija used a deeper tonality that really showed how exhausted Imlie felt with everything.

Malti and Nirmala are really out here scheming and plotting, they’re definitely going to team up with Anjali to break up Imlie and Surya’s marriage.

The bus stop wali scene was needed, they had to communicate and be angry at each other openly. I won’t lie, I also had some insults ready for Surya when he threw Imlie’s bag to the floor. But I appreciated how he kept his calm after and communicated how her words hurt him because of their implication towards his character.

Imlie and Surya need to be on the same page to consider themselves as allies in this marriage of majboori. I want them to trust each other and have a good friendship that transforms into love and concern later on.

The Reddy’s being so regressive does make me miss the Chaudhary’s a bit. Agastya’s chacha used to praise the ground his wife stepped on by serenading her. He wasn’t the strongest of male figure but still an enjoyable character to watch, this chacha is something else at the moment. Chachi is super cute and wholesome though.

Dadi once joked about Imlie and Agastya having a live-in relationship meanwhile Tayyi is full of internalized misogyny unfortunately. It’s at time uncomfortable to watch but I’m still very impressed by Jaya-jhi’s screen presence. Her voice holds so much power, it fully captivates the attention of the room. I’m curious to understand her character more as they reveal her struggles and sacrifices.

We may have lost the retro vibes but I do feel like we’ve gone a few decades back with all these old fashioned ways of thinking. Widow shaming, patni ka dharam and prioritizing men’s words over women. I always have a hard time wrapping my head around this kind of reality. Not gonna lie, my eyes rolled back a few times and I felt Imlie’s frustration. This is really a new era of Imlie 3.

Finally a different precap and that too a holi one! Anjali is going to make her entry, I’m going to get all type of michmichi feelings but I remind myself it’s needed for the plot. Imlie is going to look so good and I hope we get some fun music before all the third angle Wala dhamaka.

I know third angles are required for ITV shows for some drama. These three actually look good in the precap too.

My only worry is the character assassination of ML in such tracks. Most ITV shows take this route. I don’t want Sai to get gaalis for no reason.

Precap was quite attention grabbing . Surya Imlie looked much better. I would say it's even better than their reception look. I was lowkey fearing that they would give white anarkali to Imlie for Holi too but they gave her saree and that too in her original style , the pallu pulled back a little from chest. I hope they continue making Imlie little glamorous like how originally she was given that they had made Anjali also stylish. Takkar ki competition honi chahiye.

My belief is getting stronger that Imlie will push Anjali towards Surya after knowing their supposed history.

Main ye seh lungi.. provided, in the process Surya start getting irritated with Imlie's stupid antics of pushing him far for her own sake.. and this could act as a catalyst for him to try and corner her.. "Ki Waah Radharani ka fangirl, main toh tumse dur hi reh raha tha, but lag raha hai, tumko aise samjh nai aata... Now I shall take badla"... cute nok jhok and him giving a mischievous wink and smile to her, like in the initial days of his fake revenge and Imlie being perplexded.

Beyond this, even i don't want him to be 0.001% interested in anyone else.. Agreed with @sai2311 on this.. can't tolerate anyone cheating (emotional cheating is cheating too)

The optimistic person inside me says that we gonna get the slow burn journey that we missed in Agastya imlie love story

But yes Agastya imlie overall had more potential of angst and slow burn due to many factors like illegitimacy , sibling rivalry, bar girl profession, traditional Family setting ( reddys give the feel of regressive not traditional) ,rich poor divide.

Surya Imlie ki story mein widow and guilty man ke alawa koi major theme nahi hai. I don't think Reddys dark past revelation could have major impact on Surya Imlie relationship unlike what Dharani Kairi past did on Agastya imlie

Also it maybe unpopular opinion but I feel Surya character is subdued compared to Agastya when it comes to showing authority and decision making

bold: Abhi ka toh nahi pata but future meim he will definitely intentionally try to distant himself from imlie when he will realize that he started falling for her and she is still lost in memories of Agastya. Also the guilt factor would kick in so hard. How can he love the girl whom his brother loved .

@bold - I have a different way to look at it.. I feel Surya is much more cool headed and much less emotionally invested.. Apart from initial senti dialogues for Malti.. he doesn't express much in adverse situations.. Like even his below tag line is giving the vibes of "Seedhi baat, No bakwas"

For ex..Aaj he told Imlie he shall handle the situation, but she kept on talking (no shade to her.. You Go Gal!!). So he waited and waited.. and finally said.. Imlie ek min chup raho.. and told Taiji that Imlie was just nervous about the decorated room.. Like it was so factually correct, and sounded like a reasonable excuse..

Yesterday too.. He didn't give much bhashan to the regressive janta.. but wherever he was required to take a stand for Imlie in front of his Reddy family, he has voiced out his views.. So I will give him sometime to form a proper opinion of him.

Otherwise we can always go back to #ThrashKKK 😂🙏
