The point here is he is not acting as Armaan!.

And it's not about 3 days or 3 month equeation . He brought nothing to this character. The new Ar has no charm! He doesn't totally grasp Ar yet. He looks confused and out of the place.

Diff situation but Jay in gen 3 , his character started out of nowhere. But audience connected with him from day 1. This Rohit also need to do that. He beeds to bring his own charm. Else it will be hard to connect.

On top of that they’re pivoting towards their initial character sketch and getting rid of all the changes they made to accommodate Prince so no matter how good or bad new cast is, the previous Armaan isn’t coming back ditto , it’s futile to hope for it .

About Jay , he wasn’t replacing any character and new cast in such situations always get ample time and briefing to prepare for the role .

People are being too harsh on Rohit IMO

Ok, I just watched the episode after reading comments here. I find him good in the episode except the scene with Madhav & Abhira. Maybe he was told to give confused expression.

I also feel his specs need to be removed. Eyes actually emote well the emotions.

What I am feeling is we need to give them time. Garvita blended well into the character of Ruhi because there was zero improvement from the previous actress since the beginning of the season. But it wasn't so with Sheh, he was both ott and completely blank at several scenes but there was improvement in past few months. He needs to get into the skin of the character to bring out on our screens. And if then too someone doesn't like his portrayal, they have the freedom to not watch as well because ultimately the audience are the king (or queens).

And the fact that Sheh is still fresh on our mind also adds to our misery! And the last week of Sheh's Armaan has served us so good! So, it's natural to miss Sheh and compare and feel the inadequacy!

But I am sure, with time Rohit will fall into place of Armaan and we will mostly forget about Sheh's Armaan!

Afterall, the character is still same, it's the actors portraying the character has changed!

Armaan 1.0 used to behave as if he is falling for abhira & now armaan 2.0 is behaving as if abhira & him share a nice genuine bond they are friends, support/care for each other but he is not in love with her. I think they changed the story, if rumours about the upcoming promo & track is anything to go by.

I think new Armaan is instructed to react that way only. He doesn’t know what happened before his entry & that’s why can’t add anything else except what he is instructed about!

Oh… & I will say this once again Armaan 1.0 was overly expressive & Armaan 2.0 is mild compared to him. Which others find as Pratiksha 2.0 is not really surprising, but it is far from truth. Armaan 2.0 is doing good, but most of the people were waiting for Abhimaan love story. but it seems like they have changed the track & are going on full on triangle track & to do that Armaan’s expressions are kept neutral right now. Otherwise it will seem like the old pendulum behaviour of Armaan 1.0.

It’s disappointing to say the least.

I am still waiting for the said promo & episodes to decide how I feel about it.

I didn't feel Armaan 1.0 had already fallen for Ab, but he did enjoy her antics... this one is yet to give those vibes, or donno if they have any plans to give that... donno if they are planning to change the characterisation due to actors!

Armaan 1.0's eye locks & few fall & catch sequence gave me an impression that he is on the verge of falling for abhira. At times felt his actions are almost same for both the girls. We are yet to see armaan 2.0's one to one interaction with ruhi, how he behaves with her - as a family member or a friend or as ex bf with residual feeling.

In today's episode, I felt armaan 2.0 is in actual armaan mode, who is khadus but then later enjoys with abhira. Don't think they will change the characterisation. Armaan 1.0 & armaan 2.0 ko dekhke I'm confused ke armaan abhira ka kya rista hain - kya woh use pasand karne laga hain(armaan 1.0 se yeh feeling aati thi, at times) ya use apna friend, responsibility maanta hain with whom he enjoys to spend time(armaan 2.0 ko dekhke aisa lagta hain).

Shayad holi ke baad waale episodes se idea mil jayega.

There were so many other good moments in the Holi episodes but everything is being overlooked now .

I get it that it’s an adjustment period but nothing is going to change if people look for old face in new one . Expectations aren’t even realistic anymore
