Shaitaan is looking at a very good first day around the 14 crore nett. The film has a chance to reach 15 crore nett as the Mahashivratri holiday gives the film a good push on the day. Basically the holiday has made a good day into a very good day.

Drishyam 2 had collected almost 15 crore nett on the first day and there is a chance that Shaitaan could not come out with a similar number though Drishyam 2 was without support of a holiday. Basically the opening will be amount the top five for Ajay Devgn and it will be fourth or fifth depending on where the final number lands in the morning.

The opening of Drishyam 2 could have been put down to the brand value of the film but this is not the case here which again proves that initial numbers can come for films without the commercial elements but as long as there is reach into the smaller circuits. Obviously the number has been boosted by the holiday but if we take fair value at 20-25% less that is still a good start for a film in this zone. The problem for initial numbers is when you can reach outside the metros.

The opening day has set up Shaitaan for success and although the growth on Saturday will be less than normal due to the holiday on day one it should end up with a very good total on Sunday as those centres that do well on Sunday have opened well and will be even better on Sunday

It has opened almost DOUBLE of what I predicted 😅😅🤣 I didn't factor in holiday factor!!!

Maidaan is carrying LOW buzz at the moment, but there is still some time before release so let's see if it picks up!!

Also I haven't heard anything yet on the Chandni Bar front, but I feel Himesh Mankad is usually most reliable for such news, so definitely check for his tweets! 😊
