For me, today’s ep was awesome. Except the shameless women coming to harrass Jhanak, the ani-Jhanak scene was great. Jhanak was setting her boundaries and Ani’s excuses were flat in his face. It was so obvious he was cornered with the truth he wants to lie away - that while he might have had purely humanitarian reasons once, his feelings and emotions got involved along the way and he started to act according to them. He is not saintly, he is not unaffected and has not been for the longest time and Jhanak is showing him the mirror. Ani tries so hard not to look at his reflection because it’s clearly giving ‘I am crazy about you and I am lying I am not’. I don’t think she was out of line at all today, even when she said she felt unsafe. She is not meaning that Ani is a criminal or a bad person. She is meaning that his contradiction is so obvious. Ani is only fooling himself, everyone can tell by now that the guy is obsessed with Jhanak on some level (or is pretending not to know), even Jhanak can tell that Ani is acting erratic with her. He is being emotionally confusing with her at levels that he shouldn’t be and very triggered at her leaving or talk of another man. I think it’s interesting tbh how Jhanak is not shown as some clueless person. She knows something’s up. It’s also nice in a way that Arshi came and was rude to her today (lemme explain). It increases the future angst and denial Jhanak will have. And I say Jhanak because Ani’s gone case is obvious for all to see. He is just fronting and give it around wedding track when Tejas is revealed, something tells me this is Ani’s mountain and when he will finally be honest. Ani is so emotionally full and rich that he will (hopefully) want to start things with Jhanak, but she will be the one holding back. I like and hope for that dynamic - where Ani is taken from liar to the one who wants honesty yet cannot open his mouth because he keeps getting rejected and neither can he fully walk away because he either is ready to wear his heart out even if it’s ignored or keeps getting all these mixed signals from Jhanak. My excitement keeps building now and I hope makers don’t ruin things. Btw, Ani was so hilariously cornered today and he didn’t even disappoint me and went straight to lying to Arshi. I also liked first half of precap - Jhanak being excited. It’s what I wanted. Her having these desires and yearnings and hopes that her future isn’t in the dark and she might actually have a good, respectable life. I’m happy for her. I also have praise for Ani but I will hold on to it for now. As for Arshi and her gang, I think their classism would backfire. What’s wrong if Jhanak is a maid? Jhanak please show off your skills and tell us how being a maid is a respectable job. It’s so funny how Arshi and Shristi are celebs, but they dare to expose such thoughts in public. Where is their PR agency and their manager? This is career suicide. Imagine your fave being openly classist? This would only fly because in ITV, everyone shown on screen seems to have ice for blood. In the normal world, those two are straight to canceling land especially from any low and middle income fans they have.

Jhanak was absolutely right in setting boundaries. It's always Ani who finds her to talk with her. I feel like he is a M lol. He could have stopped after talking about the party. But No, he has to start again asking what he really wanted answers for. Does she hold him responsible for yesterday's fiasco? I am sure her stares would have grated him to the utmost degree.
I feel like Jhanak has become more aware of it since the start of the "date" episode. Before that she was confused, but after he did not rectify the hotelier's mistake, she was sure something was brewing between them that she did not want to face, much like Ani. Just that she is more upfront about it now since others can accuse all the previous actions of Ani being a good husband. It's better than a clueless FL for sure.
I would love to see a track where Ani is at the butt of the issues like Jhanak is now. It's not fair that only Jhanak is being played with lol.
As for the last, in YouTube era cancel culture is huge. But not sure about the degree of impact it will have between the Western countries vs India. I would assume the impact would be there albeit to a different degree once they open their mouth about Jhanak being a maid.
