I should correct you though, Megasthenes said Chandragupta spent his whole day in the court listening to the problems of his people, he even listened to problems even when he was with queens or women's apartments just like Ashok mentions in his inscription. He was a very hard working king, not some rangeela raja. Chandragupta is called "Best of Sovereigns" by Kamandak.

I meant their marital and love life . Unlike today, multiple partners were allowed for kings. They did not have to worry about adultery. Their duty as a king is a different thing and some kings were good at ruling their kingdom.

Well rules were different then, they needed many children as wars were frequent, they even kept secret wives and secret sons in case all of their known princes die, their secret son or sons could take revenge and succeed them

They show harem but then show only one queen as love of his life and he doesn't have a relationship with other queens unless there is some majburi or she had done sharbat kaand. 🤣😂 And it's the case with any king , whether CGM, Bindu, Ashok, Akbar or anyone else 😂🤣
