Indeed I am very disappointed today. The writers had a golden opportunity here to make such an entertaining plot with one simple twist of making this guy Agastya..in my personal opinion, it would have been fun if he was Agastya without the memory loss as he would remember everything and it would be beautiful to see Agaslie sneaking around the house after Imlie finds out its Agastya and they work together to find out who planned to kill both Agastya and Surya..I had even imagined a "Mehendi Laga ke rakhna" type situation in my head where Agastya flirts with Imlie to find out her truth and Imlie tells him "Ab aur kuch na kehna, ab aur kuch na karna"..but even a gheesa peeta memory loss track would have been ok..

I defended this guys saying it could be Agastya trying to get Imlie out of her maid avatar..we analyzed dialogues, behaviors, compared scenes...

And today my heart is broken...Agastya without memory loss, Agastya with memory loss or Surya..none of them could justify this behavior towards Imlie...I mean..if it really is Agastya, this is obviously unforgivable..if it is Surya, I understand why the creators might be tempted to show this misunderstanding-clarification but I am far too past my limits to see the same rinse and repeat cycle again...

First of all, showing a romance between an identical twin brother and his sibling's ex-wife is creepy..even if I look past that, this Surya's character is another version of Agastya himself before he showed growth by trusting Imlie...misunderstanding Imlie, throwing her out, unreasonably blind love for your own family despite them being borderline abusive to you, manhandling, everything is the same...then why??

And that Surya's mom...she went to my head today...I had called her Navya 2.0 earlier and she totally justified it today..great..abuse your own child for your own good...I mean, the scene in the flashback where apparantely she left a sick Surya out without a blanket...its wrong on sooo many levels...leave aside as a mother but even as a human...she should be put in jail for that..

Daadi is another character with no shame...I mean, looking away from an injured person? I can never forgive that..and its not just daadi and badi maaji..even chachiji is not leaving any chance to badmouth Imlie??

What are the writers doing..see I am strongly of the opinion that- better create a show that sticks to your idea instead of serving something to please the TRP audience..bcz you never know what the audience will like and its like chasing a moving flagpost...instead, if you tell a beautiful story, at least you will have that satisfaction, no matter for how much ever short period it stays on air...let's say that's hypothetical in today's world..but these creators are even turning away the loyal fanbase that they have developed over the last few months just to chase after some numbers..isase achcha to Agaslie ki happy ending kara ke show band kar dete..indeed they made these lines true for Agaslie-

Tu na mila re hume to kahani mili...lipti gulon me ghamon ki jubani mili..

Tha aisa raja nahi jisko rani mili..

But at least stick to "Teri meri kahani hai ye" now instead of jumping ships every now and then..

I am giving it one more week..if Surya is indeed Surya, I am quitting girls..

Bold: That’s one of the most frustrating parts, our belief of it being Agastya made us look at those scenes with a more open mind. Now they all feel tainted, every single moments feels ruined because it was really her dead husband’s twin brother manhandling and flirting with her this whole time. We kept looking for Agastya in every jhalak of Surya, when he wasn’t even there to begin with. We justified his actions believing that our August Babu is looking out for his Imlie. Instead, it was just a stranger toying with her emotions.

Red: Ever since Agastya’s death, I’ve been saying that. They really played us like fools into believing that Imlie and her Babu were going to get a happy ending together. The lyrics to their BGM came true in the most cruel way possible. Neither of them got any closure nor did they get peace with eachother. His memories are being tarnished by his family who by now has already moved on to Surya, as his replacement. And his Imlie is living a life worse than death, not a single ounce of happiness.

I’ll keep watching for now. I used to look forward to Surya and Imlie scenes because I thought it was Agastya. Now I’ll cringe whenever they get close and I’ll be annoyed at the khoon of Imlie’s izzat at the hand’s of the Chaudhary’s. Aage ki kahani kisi ko bhi ghanta pata nahin…

Same with me too. I watched the show for Imlie - Agastya ka story. Not for Amrit or Asma. And even if they get Amrit back I am 100% positive it is going to trouble Imlie only. Maybe Amrit will force himself on Imlie or so thereby leading to Surya marrying Imlie to protect her. I am just thinking based on the hawan ka pic.

I can not take the show with Surya and Imlie as potential pairing. And since the writers are making it clear that Agastya is the one who died then I am also on verge of quitting the show for my own sanity. Maybe I will binge watch once in a week or so. But definitely not going to waste my time on this show.

I will never accept Surya as a lead. Even if Sai is playing him to perfection, I only want to see Imlie with Agastya. There is no one like our August babu.

I dont know why the makers are so stupid, why did they show that flashback and ruin the show for us. I also have lost all motivations to watch. Mereko nahi chalega Surya as a character. He is just like Agastya before he fell for Imlie. Same tracks, same insulting, misunderstanding, same throwing her out of the house same majboori.

Also, @MJHTMonayaSajan, you rightly pointed out how bad all mother characters are in this show since the start

Dadi who is super selfish and only blames the women of the house never her son, made Agastya hate his mother, guilt tripped him for remembering his mother, forced him to marry for the business, despite knowing how much he loves Imlie, forced him to marry someone else, hating and disrespecting the woman her dead grandson loved, disrespecting Meera all the time, replacing Agastya with Surya in a heartbeat.

Alka - for always hating on Agastya and looking down upon him and for taking Surya away from his mother.

Mami - For always putting Imlie in danger and never once showing her any compassion or empathy.

Navya - For gaslighting her son for revenge when she was the murderer all along

Meera - For letting him stay with the Chaudhary and not taking her child away from this selfish family. For always chickening out and choosing the easier path and leaving Imlie alone to deal with her miseries.

Surya ka foster mom - For hating on Surya and being super partial with him. Not showing an ounce of compassion or sympathy towards him.

I have literally mentioned all the mothers in the show and all of them are toxic. What is this show even trying to include in the story.

They know this shit will not bring them trp and still being bull beaded and moving towards killing off Agastya.

I am hoping they will pivot and ignoring the flashback or justify it as being told by Malti/ dying Surya so he imagined it. Even if they show Agastya is alive and in a coma, the scenes between Imlie and Surya are in bad taste.

If despite being Sai fans all of us are not ok with this track, why will the normal audience who really love August babu and cant connect with Surya watch the show when they have multiple options.

This is a classic example of killing the golden goose and kulhadi pe pair marna. The writers have lost their shit. I hope they visit this AT and see the feedback all of us have unanimously given. They will not get trp with Surya at all, not if he is his own character and not Agastya.

My toxic relationship with Imlie will start ending from today.

Thinking as non viewer of Imlie, why didn't writers show clean death of Agastya and his elaborate funeral if they wanted to make Surya as potential life partner of Imlie

If somehow tomorrow it is revealed that Agastya is indeed alive and surviving somewhere(last effort to save the show) and here Surya has fallen for Imlie and married her and she too has started developing feelings for him , wouldn't it taint her love towards Agastya . What will be the usage of bringing Agastya from dead?

My guess is that this shift to negativity is because of sp. with the drastic trp fall, sp is controlling the story.. with agasthya’s death, the very essence of the show-the 90s feel is gone. I somehow think that the old world charm worked a lot for the show.. it had a different feel.. today imlie sitting under the tree in the rain just didn’t hit like the previous times..

even ghum , was decent after the leads marriage with the ml supporting and balancing the fl and his family. But with the slight dip in ratings itself, they have changed him so much that they are unabashedly running a triangle enabled by him.. and also the two actors whose characters have been fl’s support, they have been told that their characters have ended..

sp always interferes when the ratings don’t go their way.. and somehow sp shows thrive on negativity..

But what I am glad is that the writers are not pushing imlie-surya .. when he saved her from the truck or brought her into the house or tended to her.. they were really not trying to project it as a lead couple thing.. it was just very normal.. and Agasthya is omnipresent in most imlie-surya scenes so am not sure what the writers are trying to achieve.. Matlab if the lead couple is not going to be giving off that energy, then how will the audience root for any love story.. actually imlie and ps were the only two shows in recent times which had a love story in focus.. and both have been destroyed.. I think that is why they killed Agasthya.. they didn’t want this show to be a love story.. but just a family drama like every other show on sp..

And oh if Imlie ends with gen 3 which I am sure it will, they will show happily ever after of the only couple in Imlieverse which we don't want. Gul writers ko khilati hain bhar bhar ke so that they can write more crap and thopady the same crap on the face of the audience.

Sorry for the negativity.. but I don’t think Agasthya is ever going to be back.. you remember when imlie hallucinated ag at the temple after his death. Ag clearly told imlie that this is imlie’s story and not theirs that it will end with his death.. he also told that she can keep it any way she wants- that their story was short lived with ups and downs or that their story ended even before starting.. I think the writers were telling this to the audience..
and even if he is back, they are going to only amp up the drama and we will be pulling our hair out as to why he even came back.. there is a shift and I think it’s better that ag is dead. Atleast we can go back and watch their short story..

I agree, even if Sai plays him perfectly, I was invested in Agastya Imlie story. Now with the way things are going in the show, there is only toxicity. The only good thing was a hope that Agastya is alive. If that is no longer there, why should we watch Imlie? Maine toh Sai ka second show bhi nai dekha tha despite being his fan so I will also not watch the show for Surya.

The makers have changed a lot of the tracks mid way like making Dhanraj the son of the chacha chachi and lots of other things, can they show Surya is Agastya hoping the audience ignores/ forgets the flashback ever happened.

Argh I know I am grasping at straws but I want Imlie to go on for 300 episodes for Sai's sake. He does not deserve such a crappy show yaar.
