No karu' s brother Bhadrak was responsible for uma( Karu's friend cum dasi) getting pregnant. He was in Vidisha for Devi's Swayamvar and AShock met uma there. He noticed uma sad and tried to make her understand the father doesn't deserve her love.

Then uma got killed and took Ashock's name and Karu misunderstood the whole things and blamed AShock.

Ask Kaurwaki the logic behind it. I can't answer for her. Or ask the makers of this show. Because my logic left the chat with this 1. Had they been in Vidisha for a month or so, we would have understood, but... Anyway, I can't answer this, I can only provide you with more assumptions.

Subhadhrangi faced Queen's wrath and she was forced to become a hair dresser even when she originally came as wife of Bindu. So definitely he couldn't manage as well as his father did. Helena was the only queen who wasn't Agramahishi yet Chief Queen couldn't say a word to her because she had protection of the Emperor. Harem wasn't under Helena but Harem also couldn't harm her.

I can't stand Adnan's shouting scenes, he's bad at them and I don't know whoever is directing the whole thing, but they're letting bad acting pass by. Shows their professionalism and dedication to the show.

The only things attracting the audience are the clothing style, the physically appealing leads and...the level of idiocy they're going to do next with the actual story of the Mauryean empire, which they totally destroyed here.

From what I read is that Subhadhrangi's dad was told that she would beget a king and prince as children and she should marry the king. However when she was sent to the palace, she was met with the queens and became a hairdresser instead. She was not able to meet the king, until 1 day when she was called or had to replaced someone. The king somehow seemed impressed with her and they shared a conversation where she asked him to sleep with her and somehow the king offered her marriage as she would be giving birth to the future king.

That's the story I read online about Queen Dharma.

She wasn't some princess that he ought to have her as his wife to maintain peaceful relationship, she was his concubine and lost favour, he went on to have another wife.

Wife or concubine, this, I don't know, but, from the show, when Helena said that Ashok killed the pregnant maid, who was carrying Ashoka's child, she said that the child was the future of the Maurya, could have been the future King, etc...

I mean, 1st of all, Sushim is next in line and the designated crowned prince, not Ashok at this point. 2nd, maid's or concubine's child with the king, weren't really crowned kings, but mostly were from princesses of other kingdoms and 3rd even Bindusar, his father CGM killed so many people, yet Ashok here is being termed as a "kaatil", cruel, ruthless, cold blooded killer. This makes Bindusar a hypocrite, as he too might have fought wars in the past, then why this double standard towards Ashoka?
