I might be in minority but I think with the new twist they are going to go Revenge marriage with Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam storyline. Surya might have misunderstanding on Imlie and lots of tashan later he might forcefully marry Imlie. Later he gets to know the previous marriage of Agastya and Imlie and he will repent and will help uncover what exactly happened that day. Right now Gul is going back to her standard template of angry young man.

if trps come then will not show Agastya returning - instead Surya will fulfill all of Imlie’s dreams by being her support and maybe they will have a happy ending in the end.

At the same time, maybe they’re being stingy with dream sequences and flashbacks so we get used to Agastya being gone. Whether it’s buildup his return and to keep us missing him or to strengthen the plot of his death, who knows.

Bold: exactly this.. I feel they're doing it deliberately so that we accept Surya better. It's like a message for us that Agastya is gone, now it's Surya all over the place

To be honest, I am bored of seeing imlie like this. Every time she remembers Agastya, she HAS TO mention the promise she'd made to him. Kabhi toh show something different. Show us their happy moments. Show us their fun banters back in the days. Kuch toh dikhao.

In every itv show, whenever they show the death of a lead, we get to see fbs, humari adhuri kahani kinda moments. You're bound to shed tears. But here it seems the writers only remember the promise wala part. Nothing before that.

But she also had male leads start with S like Shivaay and Shivaansh (I think shivaay ka son was named this). Plus her three word names for the male lead. Surya Pratap Reddy warna do Naam hote na?

Even I had this same notion few days back. But not now..thanks to the Valentine's Day post made by Star.. They called the ship "ImYa", so that means it must have been imya for gul & the creatives too. Maybe that's why they chose the name Surya. It may not start with an A, but ends with Ya, so the ship is still ImYa if we see.

The problem is the slot is so competitive that the team themselves don’t know if the track is working or not immediately. So they have to persist for some time before finally taking a call. That is what they did with revenge family also. The trps did not shoot up but still they persisted for so long. Literally there was lot of meat in Meera - Alka angst, Dhanraj - Kairi storyline and Imlie becoming independent. But nope the creatives persisted with Revenge family track. After 3 months they tied up the whole thing in 2 episodes.

I am afraid that is what is going to happen here too. They are going to persist with Surya storyline for quite sometime before taking a call.

This girl knew Agastya for one day and she’s now with confidence able to demean his wife. The way she said “that house is mine” “I’m going to stay with the family” and “the doors to that house are closed for you”. Like this is the quickest a female villain has gotten everything she wanted. I’m still mad about her enjoying the comfort of Agastya’s room.

In other shows, female vamps have to go through so much scheming and planning before they can even get anywhere near kabzao-ing the female leads haq. Here, Binni got it all so easily. Matlab kuch bhi!

Frankly imlie’s bechariness also has not really brought in trps .. even before the contract marriage, the mami and Ashu illness, the struggles - they tried it all but it didn’t work.. now same is happening but instead of mami, we have Chaudhary and instead of Ashu, we have the stupid Agasthya promise.. so I don’t know why such scenes are even required and binni toh is the most extra character on the show.. Matlab the man in question itself is not there so how is the audience even going to be bothered..

In the beginning episodes, tab to Imlie bechari bhi nahi thi. Ab to use maha bechari bana diya.
