Alia deserved the award for best actress for Rocky aur Rani

I know this is an unpopular opinion, so please hear me out. There are multiple reasons why Alia won the award for RRKPK:

1. According to the Filmfare awards website, the nominations for the popular category are chosen by the public. After the nominations are announced, there is a "popular" jury which comprises of filmmakers and actors from the industry who give their votes for the popular awards. It is a well known fact that the industry (From Kapoors to Akhtars to SRK/Kjo camp) loves Alia Bhatt and they would always vote for her if given a choice between her, Kiara Advani and Taapsee Pannu.

2. Rani Mukerji was a solid contender for the "popular" award, however, her film was a "below average" film at the box office. The "popular" category rarely gives an award to some one who starred in a flop/below average film.

3. Popularity of Alia's character in RRKPK: Her intro theme, her sarees collection, acting everything was on point and became really popular with the audience.

It's not Alia's fault that no other actress at the moment has been able to create such kind of an impact. She literally has no competition in the industry right now. I won't be surprised if Alia breaks Dilip Kumar's record of 8 filmfares by the age of 36. That would be unfortunate but it would also consolidate her position as the biggest female star of hindi cinema.

That is not fair. There have been a number of posts against Alia, but not one except this one FOR alia in thus topic.

1. Choosing a nominee is not much of a deal, anyways they are giving award to whomever they want, without the public's will or choice.

Why every camp in the industry JUST LOBBBBEEED Alia? what is so special about her? Her sister Pooja was more gorgeous and even a better actress then her but was always ROYALLY IGNORED by the industry, award juries and media alike.. what's so special about this tiny over rated girl?

2. If Rani's film was average then Rrkpk was also not a clean hit and underperformed.

(sridevi got the best actress filmfare award for a DEAD FLOP Lamhe in 1991 against the most popular and BIGGEST SUPER HIT of 1991 Saajan for which Madhuri was really appreciated as well for her performance) .

3. Clothes, entry etc.? are you serious? are awards given on these merits.? and everyone knows how much Alia acted in that film.

Alia is plain average, she is just so damn lucky that she is andhon mein kaana raja, there is NOT even a half decent actress at the moment in the industry... and it is
