If people discuss the characters of old movies, it only means these actors nailed it, irrespective of what their characters were.

This is a WRONG piece of information.

Tere Naam was a HIT movie at the boxoffice, it did 25 crore business over a total budget of 10 crore in 2003. some twenty years ago.

And not just a hit but one of the most talked about and loved movies of Salman's career alongwith Bajrangi, HAHK. MPK and Dabangg.

But Darr, baazigar, Anjaam were discussed many times on the social media, wre dissed, especially baazigar for glorifying and sympathizing with a serial killer, same went for Darr for glorification of stalking.... social media pages are filled with these films been torn apart and they all were released even much before tere naam's time (2003 compared to 1993 and 1994)

Also the stalkish songs of 90s bollywood that were shot and intended for fun purposes only were torn apart like anything in today's social media age... so much so that even Amir has to apologize for one of the fun college song from film Dil..

They WHY NOT Tere Naam?

How come it still gets a clean chit from all of the social media writers, bloggers and movie goers?

Tere Naam is being dissed. You are dissing it. What you need 20 other people to agree with you ? smiley36

Are you taking polls from people ?

If 8 out of 10 people found Darr or Baazigaar or Animal said their problem films and only 3 out of 10 people said it about Tere Naam is it really that big a deal ? smiley36

Radhe Mohan didnt kill anyone IIRC. Maybe thats one difference.

Don't care for the SRK-Bhai dumping here, but I watched Tere Naam a year back (not on my volition) and as much as Salman's acting left me in splits, the movie on the whole was not toxic. There was some herogiri in the beginning involved like in all Bollywood movies. But Radhe suffers a terrible fate and anyone who has watched the movie would never come out with a good impression of Radhe. Nobody would say I want to be Radhe or aspire to be him. There was no glorification. Even then, it's great that Salman had said that he doesn't want to do roles like Radhe again because he didn't like it and doesn't want to influence impressionable minds with the kind of reach he has.

Salman left you in splits??? 🤔

Woh Kiyun?? 🤔

Salman aced the role and acted brilliantly, to be fair with him.

The film was not toxic but his character in the first half.

tere naam was a hit in most sites and does get talked about and his style was a rage etc as TM mentioned and the songs were blockbuster. The theme was depressing so many didn’t like it and as become a cult classic and were released now it be a blockbuster too. Like some other movies like baazingaar which wasn’t big hit when it came out either but became a cult classic too. A movie being a blockbuster or not doesn’t mean it don’t get talked about this logic makes zero sense. Many movies that not blockbusters in their time in later years become cult classics.
