I personally have lost respect for every single person. The makers have a special talent for ruining even the most promising characters and making them utterly unlikeable.

And they cannot afford any other character (other than the titular character) to be popular, likeable, because hey, and in the journey to portraying that, every other character is "shown to be wrong" including children.
