Why Bollywood's standard went so low in everything

Gradually everything about Bollywood has gone so low.

1. So many non talanted nepo kids getting movies after movies.

2. No natural beauty who is full package in Bollywood like earlier.

3. Movies success getting scandalized by news of corporate booking.

4. Most of the movies dont even have proper storyline n we can't rewatch it.

5.Earlier 100 crore movies were big success now budget itself is 250 crore n movies utne pahuchte pahuchte hee dum tod deti hai

6. Awards functions r dominated by few ppl n now people r like orry r getting special importance. Awards kharidne tk to samjh skte hai but this is new low.

Only positive things I see in Bollywood over the years is acceptance of married actress n even with child in lead roles.

She is a product of low std not reason.

Rising budget with low ROI is bad sign n trolling too is negative thing. Earlier superstars were lauded not trolled.

This is assuming Bollywood's standards were ever High.

Bollywood's standards haven't changed. The competition has gotten much better. The large regional Industries(Telugu, Tamil) are putting up superior products that are being lapped up all over India. Even the smaller industries like Bengali, Marathi, Punjabi, Malayalam are constantly out grossing Hindi films. Hollywood is having wider releases in India and putting up massive numbers. Finally, you have OTT which too is putting up superior products for a fraction of the price. The latter is the biggest worry. I recently watched Nikhil Advani's "The Empire" and it was better than any period drama Bollywood has ever produced.

Bollywood is the same, they just look worse comparatively now.

Sadi hui films banayenge with no repeat value toh aise hi hoga. Upar se the music is mediocre, and wahi shakalein dekh dekh ke people might have gotten bored.

The standards are in the gutter. The sheer amount of overpraise on this forum alone when actors manage to be half bearable for two hours
