Zaid and Ayra is the only logical happy ending right now . Zaid will leave everything again and she will forgive him. There is no reason for him to not divorce MJ if the Turkey scenes meant nothing.

Those scenes were added to support the endgame, they wouldn't add those if they wanted to go for original endgame.
Turkey trip was a part of the script, you see Zaid telling MJ not to interfere between him and Ayra, Zaid constantly calling Ayra, Asif was constantly bombarded by Zaid's calls, Kashmala called Zaid and he spoke about Ayra then there was a moment of orginal MJ in Turkey too which I picked up on back then as well
Look at her expressions and the villainous music in background at 31:18

Even the upcoming divorce scene has been shot later so may be it doesn’t follow the original ending . However, ZaidxAyra is the safest ending possible. Another one is all three going separate ways but that might be too risky for a PTV drama.
Everyone is talking abt Wahaj and Zaid, but another actor who has been treated badly by the makers of this show is Azekah. She was not part of the OST, posters and even now is being ignored. On paper, she is the actual heroine of this show.
I’ll just agree to disagree on a lot in there lol.
But one thing is interesting. Ayra sometimes gets irritated with Zaid because he’s weak as much as we get irritated by him for those exact reasons 😂 I get where she’s coming from lol
It's the people following Ayra who get irritated with Zaid actually. As well as fans who want Zaid to be active - they may not be following the story and just wants Wahaj in limelight.
For me, if I were Ayra, I wouldn't force myself as a second wife and then play the victim. It's double standards. And seeing Zaid has accepted demands, I would accept what he needs rather than keep my needs first. This is if Ayra loves Zaid. That's a woman in love for me- not a weakling who expects the man to compromise all the time.
She should proudly stand and say she chose this and she will deal with the aftermath instead of playing the victim basically. That's a heroine I can accept for Zaid.
Anyway Badar has achieved what he set out to do- maintain suspense till the last episode. He has played to both sides of the two wives and even got away with minimal star space. Few fans of actors can feel bad they have been cheated but there's a larger audience giving eyeballs to his show...they don't care about actors or story so long as they are entertained...and he's going to make shows for that audience. Seee even the critics caught Zanjabeel before the drama ended due to the hype and even they will get their trp. In effect, he seems to have hit on a success formula and will keep making up weird twists in his coming shows as well. Like Zanjabeel must have said - this sells more than straightforward story.

Above is extremely risky things being written about women dealing with sexual assault and domestic violence, no woman has to stand and say that she is going to deal with things like these. Nothing anyone does justifies something like this being done to any individual. Loving someone doesn't mean you forget yourself, one has to love themselves before they think about loving another. Tolerating injustice because you walked into a situation is not a right thing. Women agree to marry men, Ayra was 2nd wife but domestic violence and assault isn't limited to 2nd wives, it can happen to anyone all make a choice to marry someone but the choice to commit crimes is of the criminal not his victim. This victim blaming can be triggering to people dealing with all this and should not be condoned just because the victim is someone one doesn't like. Islam allows 4 marriages, what Ayra and Zaid did wasn't a crime where she has to tolerate abuse of his family members and not say anything because she was a 2nd wife and even if it was a crime, nothing justifies what happened to her
So strange that they had Wahaj who was at the top of his game and they cut out some of his scenes. The fact that she said it would help us go easy on Zaid is exactly what was needed. We inferred through his actions and expressions but some solid scenes would have helped in my opinion.
To answer some of these she said1. Some part of the script is missing when it comes to Zaid. She said she doesn’t begrudge them cutting it out but it would have helped us go easy on Zaid a bit.
2. the scenes with the psychiatrist were in the script. It wasn’t something Ayeza added. It was always there.
3. From her pov it looks like the title Mein is based on just Asif’s Mein and MJ’s Mein. She didn’t mention Ayra or Zaid’s Mein even once.( Even though she did mention the fake wife plot but only in terms of how shocked Asif was about it 😂)
Also again she mentioned that if someone ends up alone it doesn’t necessarily mean a bad thing. It could be relief - applicable to both MJ and Ayra. Or ending up alone can be punishment too (Asif, Zaid, MJ). MJ I feel is a bit of both because she’ll finally be out of a loveless marriage (relief) but it’s also a kind of defeat too (her plans didn’t work - punishment).
I’m not debating if the psychiatrist scenes were written in or not. It seems like she was meant to have psychological issues but where did Ayeza get Bipolar from? I thought scenes such as her saying that it’s ok that Mohib divorced her but it was the manner in which he did it that was problematic made her sound reasonable. She also talked about giving him enough time to back out. Then they were all her vulnerable moments that she cried to her father about everyone who loved her walking out on her. Also she starts to show genuine feelings for Zaid. Was all these added in? She doesn’t seem like a straight up villain when you account for the these scenes.

The biggest cheating was selling this show as the love story of Zaid and MJ . They could have promoted it at least as a love triangle.
The show was a success for sure and ratings and views were both high. No one can deny that it was star power that brought in at least the initial views and then people were hooked to the story. I think star power plays a role in retaining views to a certain point as well. They definitely won’t change anything since this formula worked. Kind of upsetting that they admitted using SA for views.Originally posted by: chicksoup
