Honestly, I don't like the way, the FilmFare Awards are condemned wholesale.

Certainly, there had been vested interests and agendas from the get-go as it is a magazine/media group that gave/gives the awards and the aim is to get publicity and earn money (the general audience has to pay and also industry folks that aren't invited - at least it had been the case for the Zee Cine Awards which have the same purpose).

Of course, I would believe, that the event organizers (who have to pay the whole event management) want to get a maximum of attention & attendance and even earn money - it's not a charity event but business!

The FF-Awards had been created as a popular version in the same year the National Awards had been created...with increasing popularity (and increasing costs) which lead to the creation of more categories awarded.

The (economic) logic will tell everybody that - where so much money and prestige and attention is involved - nothing would be untouched by corruption behind the scenes...starting with the celebrities from the filmworld one wanted to host and perform in the show (who would have a right to get paid for their entertainment job)... well, and they got paid - with money or a special recognition.

However, that also made the organizers (FF and sponsors) available to take money to favour one or another from the filmindustry for a certain award (which, again, doesn't mean that the recipient of the award would be aware or had the own hand it that)... and also to make deals with stars.

(could be continued)

As SRK is again & again accused (until now without any proof given), I have a question about another actor with as much awards as ShahRukh got till date: Would you accuse also Dilip Kumar of the same things you accuse SRK of?

I would no issues to accuse Dilip of that. Cause the Rishi and Anil stories of buying these things predates Srk coming into films even. So who knows how far back it goes.

As for condemning or accepting wholesale. That just sounds like if it’s someone I like it’s all good. If it’s someone I don’t they paid for it smiley36

Now, just an afterthought for the FF-Awards which just happened and the popular best actor awards.

The organizers would be happy to spare some money but they also desperately need people to host and to perform.

SRK (and a lot more prominent people) wouldn't attend/host/perform, not for money and not in exchange for an award...but there is a quite prominent host who could be approached (or even approached the organizers himself)...and deals would be made (between two or more people - behind the scenes)...et voilà, the show goes on...

So, personally, I would refrain from accusing e.g. Alia and/or Ranbir to have bought the award...they got awarded because one wanted them to get awarded - for whatever reasons...

I guess, it goes far back but with very different manipulation tactics...and as I'm sure not done with a l l the awards given (that's why my "wholesale").

I still believe that a part of the awards are given with proper evaluation from the responsible team (without getting benefits or recommendations).

I also believe that there are performances that indeed get paid with money (so a proper engagement).

I still believe that some original poll results are respected.

I also believe that sometimes only personal emotions have an influence (no corruption).

I know a bit about event management and staging a show and what could happen behind the scenes... money has a lot of influence but not everything is about money...

Yes, the entertainment factor is - basically - the 'signature feature'...but it also is a danger to try 'almost everything' to get an audience...

The scripting has lost a lot of quality, imo, so I have to admit that I did not watch the Award show since some years (or only bits & pieces)...

However, I admit, that I've downloaded some shows that I like to rewatch because they genuinely are entertaining smiley41

You didn't get what I wrote, right? (did you even read it? Or just wanted to give me a wipe?)

I want a proof that SRK bought one of his awards because some members here just revel in repeating that he did (and therefore 'ruined' the credibility of the FF-Awards).

I want substance behind these repeated allegations as those members have shown that they (very much) like to bash SRK in many ways.

has she ? She’s simply tied with Kajol and kajols aunt. Which just shows that before alias family dominated it seems kajols family dominated 🤷‍♂️
