didn't I just read an article saying fighter crossed 230 cr. and it's a success. Anyways her career is over when she decides to quit movies. If other actresses who don't have success are still getting movies, why not her.

Maybe her and her husband can do a package deal Ek Lo, Ek free!!! Maybe this can get some investors to back hubby's next project.

It's not over, but she will slowly be fizzled out for the likes of Kiara Advani's & Kriti Sanons. Her film career had two constants, Shahrukh Khan & Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Bhansali is gone & SRK, kitni hi filmein karlega Deepika ke saath? She doesn't look good with the younger stars, I'm not sure Ranbir will work with her anytime soon & the seniors(Ajay, Salman, Aamir) she never worked or built a rapport with.

In short, she has to reinvent herself or slowly be kicked out.

I think deepika should start doing films with ayushmann and kartik because I am sick and tired of the ranveer ranbir pairings, I was so happy when she dropped out of that rk movie because director had a metoo movement but nobody said anything to rk shraddha for signing the movie even kartik made special appearance in that movie, only outrage for dp to sign it with metoo accused director. Anyways, she needs fresh pairings. She also needs to do movies with Aditya and Sid, hot pairing that would be. She also needs to sign women centric thriller movies.

I'm fine with her working more with Ranveer. Audiences like them together and they've been asking to see them in contemporary romantic films, no more period dramas. No more Bhansali. Both of them have outgrown him. Bhansali is not good to his actors anyway, having insulted Salman, SRK, Aishwarya, Deepika, and now Ranveer as well. Notice that none of these actors have any interest in working for Bhansali again.

I agree she does need fresh pairings but Aditya and Sid are not on her level. Hrithik and Deepika were a good combo but need better scripts that focus on them as a romantic pair because that was not the emphasis in Fighter. Sid Anand's movies do not give Deepika equal screentime and spotlight with the male lead so she should do those films only to balance out her main films. Salman Khan has been desperate to work with her in the past but she kept rejecting his film offers so I would be interested in seeing her work with him in something worthy of her.

I just don't want to see ranveer. I rather see ayushmann pairing with her. But yes you are right about the slb actors not working with him again like sallu, srk and now dp. Yes she made a huge mistake in signing BAH with Sid Anand with flop actor rk at that time with 3 leading actress small screen time. She always gets small screen time in his movies and just a showpiece not sure why she signs his movies, dumb decisions. I loved pathan pairing but she should've avoided other movies by sid. I was excited to see HR DP pairing but yes the look, style, genre and everything was not how I imagined it would be.

The weird thing is that it's really just Deepika he shortchanges. Hum Tum, Salaam Namaste, and Ta Ra Rum Pum (my fav movies of his) all have major roles for the female characters equivalent to the male roles. In fact, more people remember Rani and Preity from those movies than Saif. His quality of films has gone down since then. His RK films were both atrocious and I have not cared for his spy/war films since then although I enjoyed Fighter and think that's been the best of his recent films. It's very hard for me to believe that these latest films are made by the same person who made Hum Tum and Salaam Namaste because all his action films have very little roles for the female leads. War is the best example where Vaani is basically a cameo with maybe 20 minutes of screentime, if even. And Ghungroo is half of that screentime.

I think that Lady Cop movie is going to be her final big success and then I see her winding down.
