But that wasn't the reason given. If I remember correctly it was said that the movie was widely criticised for its content even though Shahid acted well. So awarding him would set a bad example.

Same situation with Ranbir but he was awarded. That's double standard.

I watched Kabir Singh much later on OTT and hated it..didn't watch Animal after that experience. So not commenting on the movie

Popular category is based on how the character has been popular overall and SRK deserved it fair and square this time given both Jawan and Pathaan were bigger hits than Animal.

popular is not only about popularity the performance also has to be award worthy. otherwise tiger shroff can also win an award if he delivers an industry hit.

i remember the reason was that it was a remake. other reasons must be fan theories.

now people have issue with filmfare. srk got for ddlj kuch kuch hota hai dil to pagal hai and it was alright. i dont understand this hypocrisy. ddlj was fine other two less said the better.

the whole issue right now is ranbir winning award. some people and their hypocrisy. keep whining, ranbir will win more. even though i am not a ranbir fan i will support him more now.

Ranbir is a good actor and will win many more..no doubt. Question is just that why him and why not Shahid. Who won that year btw?

And tried to watch Jawan.. couldn't go beyond few mins. Family was watching so caught up in bits n pieces. SRK can't be in contention for that movie n acting.

Ranbir's win got tainted by the undeserving win of Alia's. It was a comfortable win otherwise for him nobody would have batted an eyelid if Kiara was here.

It's a fact, I personally was rooting for SRK in Jawan, but Ranbir carried each and every frame of a 3 and a half hour long film. But she just couldn't let him have this could sheand couldn't digest Ranveer overshadowing her royally in Rocky rani or the fact that Kiara could & should have won over her. Now she has to limit her comments on SM thanks to the"hard earned outrage" man her insecurity level is unreal, jai ho FOMO maiya ki. I was hoping she would win coz but I thought KJO & her wouldn't be dumb enough to by this time. Guess I put in too much faith in this 11vi fail womanchild, the way she has diluted her own past and future victories/achievements is case study material. Pehli "darling of masses" jiski itni unanimously bezti ho rhi hai.

Ranbir ko fir khamkha bash karwa dia photo op ke chakkar mein
