The only other version of Ramayan rhat i have watched is Sagar Ramayan ( 1987 one ) and Ram ji over there wasn't this expressive about his love for Sita maa

Yeah but it didn't seem satisfactory to me . She kind of saved Dasharath from dharmsankat but the the actual promise was to make Kaikeyi's son only right?

It was large hearted of Kaikeyi to modify the vachan ..

From Dasharath pov , he surely did according to me . He never told about such a vachan to Kausalya or Ram . There was never this discussion with Bharat that he deserved it .

It was large hearted of Kaikeyi till that point to not differentiate but her father meant her biological son and so did Dasharath when he gave a boon . ( He would not have thought that Kaushalya will give birth to the elder son then )

True , but vachan toh vachan hai na . Like how Bhishma is the first born of Shantanu but Satyavati's father takes this boon that her daughter's son even if not first born should be the king and Bhishma gives up his rights

True...plus i didn't find Ram and Siya's scene to be OTT , that felt natural , the only scenes which felt ott for me were the brothers waking up Ram and them falling at Sita's feet for blessings....that scene was heartwarming but ott too

This is one of the most painful parts. This guy left his wife to do their seva .Not only that I have heard that when Ram asked Laxaman if he can identify the jewels of Sita , he says he can't because he has never seen her face out of respect , but he can identify her anklet or toe ring because he had seen them while touching her feet and taking blessing , such was his purity

Imagine Laxman's situation when Ram asks why u left Sita alone. He can't even tell him the words Sita told him because Ram will never be able to digest it .

There is a show in epic channel called Legends of Ramayan by Amish in which he said that the reason of 14 years is because if u stay away from a land for 14 years then u no longer can claim rights to it .

Similarly in Mahabharat to the excile is around 13 years . Kuch aisa rule hota hoga

Well Dashrath ji always kept Kakeyi maa above the other 2 wives of his and I think the vachan thing was more a husband wife thing till Kaikeyi maa made it political.

I don't think it was large hearted of Kaikeyi maa, Kaushalya maa was his first wife Kaikeyi maa already knew it still both father and daughter asked Dashrath ji for the promise (I am just talking about this serial as this promise is not mentioned in Valmiki Ramayan) , Dashrath ji also gave her that, it was not fair to Kaunshalya Maa still she loved his other two wives like sister I think in this serial that's Kaikeyi's maa arc, feeling the love the other 2 wives of her husband she also moulded, she felt secure of her power and position and that's why loved all of them equally but Manthara again made her feel insecure which lead to Ramayan
